A movie with no face value takes time to be success in box-office. I don't see why you need to blame Masala movies for it. Masala movies are entertaining and ride on star power, hence people know its paisa-vasool and they flock to cinemas. On the other hand, a movie like KPC needs good appreciation and word of mouth to build upon. It also a shame that critic friendly films get all the attention in awards and masala films gets peanuts.

What is so surprisingly about that? That is how it is always been. Sallu is a huge star whereas as this movie has only a TV actor.

They should have invited me to the premiere. ;)

I understand...But it will take time to pick up considering film has no big stars...

You went and enjoyed it is what matters
We should really appreciate the effort and their faith in this film which they made without being skeptical about if this film will work or not.
the film is picking I didnt get tickets for evening show here...
