Emerging from the shadows,
Enter she did, the dark lanes,
Lone ray of hope ...of faith in destiny..
Leading the way...to the unknown...

Ghost of a companion...
Walked along... seething in rage...
Seek she did , the ghost,
For it was all ..that existed ..
In the darkness....

Lone ray, revealing the face..
She sees , the ghost ..
A belying mask,
That now befriends her...

Hanging on to a moment ...
Of truth , that revealed all...
Envision , a future.. she did...
Unaware of the deceit,
The mask of a friend , sought...

Anguished heart, pained emotions...
Devastated, she stands now...
Ghost of a shattered dream..
Mocking her ...

Piercing agony, not withstanding...
Pained, lost, betrayed...she stands...
Searing pain , tearing her apart...

Helpless, her heart weeps....
While the hollow , naked mask,
Watches her...shed a tear...
