I read this and thought how apt, this I fear is the fate of ARVI -

"They say in the old tales that when a man and woman exchange looks the way we did, their spirits mingle. Their gaze is a rope of gold binding each other. Even if they never meet again, they carry a little of the other with them always. They can never forget, and they can never be wholly happy again."

Hopefully for the sake of their own sanity, they are able to break away from this constricting bond and move forward with their lives, be it with their respective partners, alone, or ultimately together if the CVs so will :)

Agree with the ArVi setting screen on fire- even apart, the chemistry is so strong.

and two,

No one understands Purvi and no one understands Arjun,

Onir doesn't understand Purvi- he's just abiding by her ridiculous demands of mahanta and insanity. waiting for him to realize what a mess he's in.

Arjun thought he understood Purvi and now he stands as a confused man

Purvi doesn't understand herself, period.

Lol, Kools, is that a rhetorical question? 😉 The word wise was used in the conventional sense of the term but of course, as an individual it would depend on your definition of the word "wise"; I was referring to the Bard (his lovers and madmen quote), Thackeray, Austen and countless others who many, if not most, would consider erudite and wise.

On another level, the words quoted were an adage and adages are traditionally considered "pearls of wisdom."😆

Extreme? Perhaps, but then isn't love also supposed to know no moderation? So when there is no moderation then even sensible people tend to lose their reason, not that sensible people cannot love but when they do, sense temporarily is put on hold.

Look at Ovi with her obsession for Arjun, he for Purvi, Purvi's sacrificing lost to reason acts of love, Onir's "affection"" for his mishti, Teju's and Sunny's longing to be together which is making them undertake insensible tests of love, they have all lost it in a way because of this "grand" emotion. I would agree with Thackeray, " Love makes fools of us all, big and little".

Yes adages were considered as pearls of wisdom .😊

Austen is a master at showing prudent love ...which led to something constructive not destructive .

Jane Eyre ...the most sensible character created in English literature had such a love story . Not without emotions although a clear head was on her shoulders , her love story touches the heart .

And the adage that Thackeray quoted goes for women too . Not just men ...and i really don't believe Purvi knows the L of love .

Byron was superbly arrogant in his poetry . He was classified as a romantic but i believe he was one hell of a practical devil .😆

Carry on dear . Don't mind me , i interpret things differently .😊
