Rishi, Boman, Danny & Bipasha in Shaukeen remake

Rohit Roy ropes in Bipasha Basu for the remake of Basu Chatterjee's classic Shaukeen

Rohit Roy has finally got the rights of Basu Chatterjee's 1982 classic film Shaukeen. Rishi Kapoor, Boman Irani and Danny Denzongpa will play the lead roles, which was originally played by Ashok Kumar, A K Hangal and Utpal Dutt. Bipasha Basu is expected to step into Rati Agnihotri's role.

"I was busy with the film for the last six months and finally the script is ready. We start shooting as soon as the actors give us the dates," confirmed Rohit.

Apart from this project, the actor-director is busy with the television show Hitler Didi.
Since the actor's last show Sajda Tere Pyar Mein went off air within four months, this time he was extra particular in choosing the role.

"After Sajda..., I was looking for an extraordinary character to play on TV. I play a major in the Pakistani army in the show," he said.

The actor also revealed that he has been offered a reality show, the details of which are still being worked upon.

Meanwhile, Bipasha is right now occupied with films like 'Aatma' and 'Creature'. While 'Aatma' is releasing next month, she will start working on 'Creature' after its release. So, 'Shaukeen' remake will start rolling only after Bipasha is done with the Vikram Bhatt film.
