Arjun frowned as he read the file but not at what he was reading but at the way Priya had snatched her hand back from under his. He wondered at that, it was a strange behavior from her considering the fact it hadn't been the first physical contact for them.

One more confusing fact that he pushed at the back of his mind along with all the other questions and confusion regarding Priya and her behavior; he hoped he will get the answers he is seeking soon.

Sameer's eyes darted between Arjun and Priya as he tried to gauge her mood. He sighed inwardly when all he saw was her nervous movement when Arjun accidentally touched her. That was nothing new, Priya kept her distance from everyone, most especially the men, and she always made the first move when touching anyone accept for the few who she was close to.

Sameer didn't bother looking for reaction from Arjun even if he had looked he wouldn't have seen anything anyway. He was about to brief the team on the new case when one of the assistant knocked on the door then came in and handed him a letter.

Arjun turned to face everyone and waited for Sameer to tell the team what was in the letter that had him frowning worriedly. Sameer scanned the page quickly then handed the lone paper to Priya.

Priya was surprised when Sameer held out the paper to her. She took the paper apprehensively and scanned the page quickly. Her eyes widened in shock when she read the orders from the commissioner. She read them again to be sure then looked up at Sameer. "Is this really necessary?"

Sameer didn't know how to answer, there were slight risks involved for what the commissioner wants and he didn't want to put Priya at risk. "Commissioner seems to think so but let's wait on it for the moment." He turned to Shree. "Shree I need you to get us information on tracking devices that are implanted underneath the skin."

Shree gave Rathore a startled look, while Chotu looked on at him with shock. "Tracking devices sir?" Shree asked to be sure he heard right.

Sameer pinched the bridge of his nose then looked at Priya before addressing Shree. "Yes, commissioner wants Priya to have a tracking device that cannot be detected. His suggestion is we look in to the latest technology and see if we can find one that can be fitted underneath the skin so it cannot be detected."

"Why do we have to go to this extreme? Why not fit her with one in a locket or a watch?" Arjun asked. "Better question is why the need for a tracking device in the first place?"

"Because the first person that Sikander is going to come after is Priya not you." Sameer bit out in frustration. "And before you ask why let me tell you; it's because the commissioner thinks that in Sikander's mind Priya is responsible for his downfall. If it hadn't been for her he wouldn't have had to go underground."

"As for your other questions the commissioner doesn't want to take the risk of Sikander discovering any external tracking devices that can be removed easily if Priya is ever caught by him alone. If we fit Priya with an internal device then there is less chance of it being discovered." Sameer said.

Arjun was not satisfied with the answer he got, not only because the whole thing was raising more questions in his mind, but also because an internal device could be harmful if implanted for too long.

Sameer must have felt the same way because he didn't look convinced either. "It is only temporary the device can be removed once we catch Sikander."

"As I said what go to the extreme, let's fit her with an external device and make sure that she is not ever alone to minimize the risks." Arjun said.

Arjun's last comment raised Priya's panic. It was okay for her to be with people when she is in the office or even when they are on a case but she did not want to take the risk of anyone being with her in her home and judging by the determination in Arjun's eyes that is exactly what he has in mind; for her to be with someone at all times.

Priya decided to speak up. "I don't have to be implanted with the device right away so why are we talking about it now? Let's focus on the case then we can discuss these tracking devices." She folded the letter and gave it back to Sameer. She had no intentions to discuss this anymore. It would only raise more questions in Arjun's mind then it already has.

Sameer placed his hands on his hips then addressed the team. "Right, our current case involves a missing woman. Her name is Nisha Malik and she is stepsister of a well known model Leena. Nisha has been working for Raina Fashion House as assistant to Rohan Raina for the past three months. Leena is the model for the fashion house and also Roahan's finace."

"Sir it's a case of missing person that local police can handle, why are we being called on this case?" Chotu asked.

Rathore paced away from the table as he addressed Chotu's question. "There is a possibility that Nisha is already dead or she has been selling information about Raina fashion house to their rivals. Rainas are suspecting Nisha of stealing their latest designs to sell to the rivals. Raina fashion has asked the commissioner for assistance since they don't want the media to know yet about the missing designs. This could affect their stocks in the market.

"How long has Nisha been missing for now?" Arjun asked.

Rathore glanced at his wrist watch. "More than twenty-four hours now; we will start with Nisha's house then go to her office to see what we can find there."

Priya stood up then faces Sameer. "Sam I will meet you downstairs, I need to stop in my office for a minute." She walked out of the conference room quickly.

Arjun raised an eyebrow as he glanced at Rathore but Sameer was just as confused by Priya so he just shrugged his shoulders. "Shree pull Nisha's financial records and also her phone records for the past two days. Let's see who has contacted her in the last two days."

"Done sir," Shree replied then hesitated but decided to share his worries with his two seniors. "Sir about the internal tracking devices, I don't think they are very safe. I recently read few research articles on them and the research shows that the long term effects of the devices are very harmful. There is also the risk of burns if the device comes in contact with high voltage of radiation."

Arjun had suspected the same and he was glad Shree is reinforcing his beliefs. "Rathore I don't think the internal device idea is very good either; you need to talk to the commissioner about this."

Sameer, Shree and Chotu gave him a surprising look but didn't say anything. "I will talk to the commissioner about this later, maybe there is another solution to this." Sameer said and gestured for everyone to move out for now.

Thirty minutes later team arrived at Nisha's home. Arjun and Priya both observed the area around the house before following others into the house. Each team member took one room to look into for clues but none found anything out of place. The house was neat and clean, there was no sign of struggle or anyone entering the house forcefully. Arjun looked around the living area and observed the few pictures placed around the room then moved to the kitchen where again everything was in its place.

Priya had seen Arjun look at the pictures but she also took a look then gestured for Shree to take pictures on his tablet. She was feeling uneasy about the case, but could not pinpoint her discomfort.

Priya's feelings of unease only increased as they delved more into the case. She found herself going back to each detail of the case over and over as she sat at the conference room table back at the ETF office.

Arjun was having similar feelings as Priya and he stared at the fact board, with intensity he was well known for, as he twirled the pen in his hand. He was sure he knew the stepsister is involved in disappearance of Nisha but he didn't have any evidence to back-up the feelings he is having. The knowledge was also making him very restless personally but he couldn't figure out why this particular case was having this affect on him.

Arjun dropped the pen on the table then walked over to the fact board to look at it closely. He then took three pictures and placed them in a triangle form and drew lines between them.

He had placed a picture of Rohan Raina at the top and Nisha and Leena's picture at the bottom. Priya's mind immediately flashed back to Nisha's home and the pictures she had seen there, she turned to Shree.

"Shree the pictures from Nisha's home that you took can you put them up please." Shree placed the pictures on the screen for everyone to see. Arjun looked at the pictures then at Priya and he realized she was thinking along the same line as he, now only thing to figure out is who is responsible for the disappearance of Nisha.

Arjun took his gun off the conference table and looked at Rathore and Priya. "Let's go."

Everyone stood up quickly to follow him out the door without any questions. Once they were all in the SUV, Sameer was first to voice a question.

"Where exactly are we going Raute?" Sameer had already guessed also but he couldn't help but probe Arjun.

Arjun glanced at Priya through the rearview mirror before answering Sameer. "To Raina house, to question Rohan Raina and Leena about Nisha"

Arjun continued to brief the team when he saw that Priya was distracted by something. "This morning when we went to Nisha's house I noticed the pictures on her wall from when she was in the college but I didn't really think any of them at the time but now I realized that Rohan and Nisha had attended the same college."

"Yeah so, what does that have anything to do with the case?" Sameer asked.

"Nothing yet, but I think there is a connection to Rohan and Nisha's past friendship to Rohan and Leena now and to Nisha's disappearance. Isn't that right Priya?" Arjun said as he glanced at her yet again through the rear view mirror.

Priya was glad the dark glasses hid her eyes from him otherwise he would have seen the shock in them when he addressed her about the connections in the case. As soon as they had left the ETF office she had known what had been bothering her about the case. There had been a feeling of dj vu about the case that she hadn't wanted to face and she had ignored all the feelings when she talked to Rohan and Leena.

She sighed inwardly before acknowledging the fact that Arjun wanted to know what conclusion she had reached regarding the connections. "Yes I think that Leena may have something to do with Nisha's disappearance or it could be Rohan and Leena's relationship that has something to do with Nisha disappearing with the designs."

"How is Leena connected to Nisha's disappearance and why would she make her own sister disappear?" Shree asked.

"Stepsister," Priya corrected him. "When we spoke to her and Rohan earlier I had a feeling she hadn't liked Rohan coming to Nisha's defense but I didn't think much of it until I remember the pictures in Nisha's home. Look at the pictures again and you will also see the connection Shree."

Shree scanned through pictures again and his eyes widened when he saw them again. "Oh, Rohan and Nisha had been more than friends in college. "

Sameer gave Arjun a startled look, "that is why you asked Rohan earlier how long he had known Nisha?"

Arjun glanced out the window, "Yes and he told us he met her on the day he and Leena got engaged. He lied, why? It could be that Nisha is taking revenge on Rohan for marrying her stepsister."

"May be Rohan didn't want his fianc to know that he and Nisha had a relationship in the past and Nisha may have been blackmailing him so he got rid of her." Smeer said.

"Yes that might be it." Shree spoke up. "When we questioned the office staff we found out that there had been great tension between Nisha and Rohan. They had also said the Rohan and Nisha had been seen arguing by other staff members."

"Shree did they say what the argument was about?" Priya asked. What Sameer said was a possibility but her gut feeling was telling her something different.

"No they didn't hear what was being said, they only saw that at one point Rohan had been very angry at Nisha." Shree answered.

"Shree see if you can find out more about Rohan and Nisha's relationship from their college friends and also get their phone records, let's see if they talked outside of the office also." Arjun instructed. "Also pull up Leena's phone and financial records."

"Chotu activate your contacts in the area and find out anything you can about the rival company, Raina family and also about their employees. We can't leave any stones unturned just in case the rival company in involved in the Nisha's disappearance." Rathore instructed. Chotu immediately started calling his informers while Sheree worked on getting phone records and financial record.

They arrived at the Rania mansion shortly and waited for someone to open the door. It was Rohan who opened the door himself and he was surprised to see the ETF at his door again so quickly.

"What can I do for you Rathore sir?" He asked.

Rathore stepped into the Raina house and the team followed him. "Sorry to bother you again Mr. Raina but we had more questions for you and your fianc Leena."

Rohan gestured for the team to take a seat, "I am sorry Leena just left few minutes ago. She had to get some preliminary shots for the upcoming fashion show."

Once they all settled down Rohan immediately leaned forward anxiously. "Did you find Nisha?" He asked with worry evident in his tone.

"No Mr. Raina we haven't found her yet but as I said we had more questions for you." Sameer said as he leaned forward and entwined his hands in front of him.

"Sure, I will help in any way I can." Rohan said.

Priya observed him closely for guilt but to her surprise the only thing she saw in his eyes was worry and fear.

"You can tell us why you told us you met Nisha for the first time on the day of your engagement with her stepsister when the truth is that you and Nisha had a relationship in college." Arjun said in brusque tone.

"Because I didn't want Leena to know that the girl I had been in love with in college was Nisha." Rohan answered quietly. He took a deep breath then looked down at the floor. "Nisha and I were friends in college and I had been in love with her but she had only thought me a friend and nothing more."

"Then why hide it from her?" Priya asked, "Why not just tell her that you were friends and nothing more? Don't you think she would have understood?"

Arjun glanced at Priya sharply; he was surprised by the hostility in her tone as she questioned Rohan.

Rohan also looked up at her with a surprise. "Unfortunately when I met Leena I told her everything but I didn't know that Nisha was her sister. I decided to keep quiet after I found out because Leena was insecure about Nisha as it was. She and Nisha hadn't gotten along too well when they were growing up."

"What did you and Nisha argue two days ago?" Arjun asked Rohan.

Rohan again looked away from them before answering. "Nisha had given me her resignation letter and she wouldn't tell me why she was resigning. I accused her of selling our designs to the rival fashion house because of her differences with Leena and because she was jealous of her. I knew it wasn't the truth but I just couldn't figure out what happened suddenly to make her want to resign. She was going to help me design a wedding dress for Leena and we had just talked about that the week before."

"So the rumors about your designs being sold to the rival company are true." Shree said.

Rohan nodded, "Yes but nothing major has been sold so far but our current designs had also disappeared along with Nisha and I have my own ongoing investigation on the previous stolen designs."

"How do you feel about Nisha now?" Priya asked, again startling everyone.

Rohan looked straight at her this time. "When I decided to marry Leena I put the past behind me. Besides what I felt for Nisha is in the past and I am committed to Leena now, there is no going back."

Priya acknowledged Rohan's evasive answer with a nod but she hoped that Leena doesn't come to know that he still had residue of feelings for her stepsister. Priya hoped that Leena knows Rohan is committed to her only.

As they all stood up to leave Arjun decided to ask Rohan about his investigation on the designs being sold to the rival company. "Do you suspect anyone of selling your designs to the rival company?"

Rohan hesitated but decided to share what they had found so far. "Actually all the evidence points to Nisha only and that is why my parents are anxious about her disappearance. They want her found as soon as possible because the latest designs that disappeared are very important for our company."

"Can we get a copy of your investigation report? It may help us in our investigation." Arjun said.

Rohan nodded, "I will have my investigator send you a copy."

"Thank you Mr. Raina, we will let you know as soon as we find something." Sameer said and bid goodbye to Rohan before marching out of the Raina house.

The team drove back to ETF office in silence as they each thought about the case and what they could do to find Nisha.
