Karthik Tiwari is the new Akshay kumar : Subhash Ghai

Subhash Ghai has announced
Kartik Tiwari as the lead in
upcoming release Kaanchi.
The director compared the 24-
year-old to one of Bollywood's
biggest actors, Akshay Kumar.
"Kartik is big star material. I see
him having all the star qualities
of Akshay Kumar - including
action, dance and a star presence
on screen," revealed Ghai.
"Please wait and watch, he is
gonna be a superstar in 2015."
Tiwari made his debut in the
2011 cult hit Pyar Ka Punchnama,
winning praise for a four-minute
comic monologue, said to be one
of the longest single take scenes
in a Hindi movie.
"Kartik is a bit awkward initially,
but his performance grows on
you gradually. He's incredible
during the final moments of the
film," said critic Taran Adarsh.
Tiwari can currently be seen in
Akaash Vaani. His new project
with Ghai is scheduled for
release on August 15.
