OS: DNA report ki Mystery (This is a suspense OS - DO NOT READ THE LAST PARA)
The MLA father of Ishita after taking SP to the lab for DNA paternity testing was sitting at home drinking tea looking extremely worried. In fact this was his 6th cup of chai in an hour his wife Neeta mentally noted as she observed the worry lines deepen. Unable to bear it any more - she broke the silence and asked him the reason for his concern. The MLA took out his packet of beedis and took out a beedi bit into its end and spat it out on to his tea cup then looked at her and said "Do you believe Ishita's MIL?"
His wife realizing that he was referring to Radha's claim that Akash was SP's son answered back saying "Yes I do and I understand that SP's nonchalant attitude is worrying you. Perhaps you should tap some of your khabri (news agents) and find out the truth behind Radha's claim".
The MLA looked at her and silently wondered 'how can a woman be so dumb'? Aloud he said "Neeta where is the time? The blood sample will be sent this evening to the special lab where they do DNA testing. I need a foolproof method like the blood sample of one SP's real sons. You see I want the DNA report to come positive at any cost. This would ensure that Ishita gets an honorable status in society and it would give me a chance to dole out to SP the same humiliation that he made us endure at her wedding".
Neeta pondered at his words while he took a last drag and snuffed out his beedi. After a long pause Neeta ventured:
"Suno ji you know our driver Ramu, the one who drove us to Scindhiya mansion today well he says that he saw our son-in-law with Yash's son Ansh yesterday." The MLA blinked at her and tersely said "Hummmph". Neeta continued "Ramu remarked that his brother Prakash who is a ward boy at City Hospital used to play with Ansh when he would go down there for treatment". The MLA was now losing his patience "Neeta" he said sternly "you know Ansh is Yash's stepson don't you?"
Neeta timidly answered "Haan ji but I believe Aarti goes there too - now what I mean is that if Aarti, Yash and their children go there then surely we can get access to Yash's blood sample." The MLA now looked at her with admiration - suddenly he knew what to do. He would ask Ramu to get a sample of Ansh's father's blood. He would pay Ramu and his brother one lakh rupees to get the blood out of City Hospital by noon. Once that was done - he would personally see to it that Akash's blood sample would be replaced with that of Yash.
Seven days later.
The DNA test reports were to be released in about an 30 mins. The MLA had called the media to make sure SP was publicly humiliated. The doctor walked to the sitting room where SP and the MLA were seated and handed to each a copy of the report. Both tore the envelope - SP jumped in joy as the report was negative. The MLA sat stunned and speechless. Inwardly he wondered at the colorful life that G3 and SP lived but outwardly he could not utter a word!! The joke was on him.
