She was sleeping in the hospital bed.
Arjun and Shree were beside her.
Arjun was continuously looking at the monitor that was connected to Riya.
Shree noticed Arjun's tension.He placed a comforting hand on his senior's shoulder.
Shree: Sir,bharosa rakhiye.Ankita aur Riya ko kuch nahi hoga.Uparwale pe vishwas rakhiye.Kuch nahi hoga undono ko.
Arjun(worried): I hope so.
By that time,Riya's doc came inside the ICU and checked Riya.
Arjun: Kya hua,Doc?
Doc: I am sorry,Mr.Rawte. Riya ka daaya haath puri tarha se paralysed ho chuka hai aur,unke gaalo pe jo chaku ke ghav hai,bohut gehra hai.Bharne mein time lagega.When your wife gains consciousness,you will have to break the news to her.Himmat rakhiye,Mr.Rawte.
Arjun was shocked to hear this,so as,Shree. Arjun slumped on the floor and let out a animalistic groan.

Shree(wiping Arjun's tears): Sir,roiye maat. Aap agar himmat har jayenge,toh,jab Riya ko pata chalega,toh,usse sahara kaun dega? Woh toh toot hi jayegi.Himmat rakhiye,Sir.
Arjun(between tears): Shree,main Riya ko nahi bata paunga. Mujhme itni himmat nahi hai.Agar usse kuch ho gaya,toh,main mar jaunga,Shree.
Saying this,Arjun hugs Shree.
Shree pats his back.
Shree breaks the hug.
Shree: Sir,aap himmat mat hariye.Riya ko kuch nahi hoga.
Arjun(wiping away his tears): I hope so,Shree...

On the other side,Rathod and Chotu was pacing from this end to that end.
Rathod's wife,Ankita,was in the last stage of pregnancy and slightly injured also.
After an hour,the doc came out of the OT.Rathod immediately went up to the Doc.
Rathod(worried): Doc,kaisi hai Ankita?
Doc: Everything is alright,Mr.Rathod.Congratulations,Mr.Rathod.Aapki ghar Maa Lakshmi padhari hai.Mrs.Rathod gave birth to a healthy,beautiful baby girl.But,Mrs.Rathod behosh hai.Sar pe halka chot lagne ke karan,baki sab kuch thik hai.Thank God,she was brought in time.Aapki woh dusri officer ne apne jaan pe khelkar Mrs.Rathod ko bachaya hai..You should thank her also.Ok.
Rathod was so happy to hear this.He let out a silent prayer to Bhagwaan for saving his wife and his princess.
Rathod: Doc,kya main Ankita se milsakta hu?
Doc: Not now,Mr.Rathod. Kuch der mein,hum unhe ICU mein shift kardenge,tab millijiyega.Thik hai.
Rathod: Sure,Doc.

Chotu: Congratulations,Sir.
Rathod: Thanks,Chotu. Arjun ko phone lagake bolo.
Chotu: Sure Sir.

Chotu calls Arjun and informs him about Ankita.
Arjun doesnt have any reaction on his face.

After a while,Arjun asks Shree to stay with Riya and if anything happens,to immediately inform him.
Shree nods ok.

Arjun goes to Rathod and Chotu.
Arjun hugs Rathod.
Arjun(with a weak smile): Congratulations,Sam.Finally,tu baap ban gaya.Ankita kaisi hai? Aur meri bhatiji?
Rathod: Thanks toh mujhe Riya ko karna hai.Aaj agar woh nahi hoti,toh,na jaane kya ho jata.Ankita aur teri bhatiji ekdum thik hai.They will shifted to the ICU in a couple of hours.Waise,how is Riya?
Arjun couldnt reply anything.He slumped on the ground and started crying.
Rathod didnt understand what happened to him,so,he made Arjun stood up and made him sit in the couch.
Rathod(worried): Kya hua,Arjun? Ro kyun raha hai? Riya ko kya hua hai? Bol,Arjun?
Arjun(crying hardly): Rathod,Riya ka daya haath pura paralysed ho chuka hai,aur,uske gaalo pe jo chaku ka gaav hai,bohuthi gehra ho chuka hai.Aurr...
Rathod(worried): Aur kya,Arjun? Saaf saaf kaho?
Arjun(finally broke down): Riya ka miscarriage ho chuka hai.Humara baccha duniya mein aane se pehle dum tor diya.
Rathod and Chotu were shocked to their wits.They didnt know,how to react.
Ek taraf se khushi aur ek taraf se gham.
Rathod and Chotu didnt have words to console Arjun.
Rathod thought:"Mere bacche ko bachake Riya ne apne bacche ki kurbani de di."
while they were talking about this,Ankita heard everything.
She shouted: "Nahiii... Yeh nahi hosakta... Sam,Kehdijiye,yeh jhoot hai..."
Rathod went up to her and hugged her.She was crying continuously.She wasnt stopping at all.
Rathod: Yeh sab sach hai,Anki...
Riya ne tumhari jaan bachate bachate apne bacche ko kho diya.Aab aise rone se,kuch nahi hoga.Humein Arjun aur Riya ka saath dena hoga.
Ankita(between her sobs): Mujhe Riya se milna hai.
