Scene 15-
"Marjaayiyaan... Tere bin marjaayiyan !!!!"
Okay.. It had been three weeks since I spoke with priya ! I didnt try to call her or talk with her because I didnt want to push myself on her.. I wanted to give her space.. And Maybe.. Well Maybe thing gone way out of control between us !
Well as far as my life was concerned it had become very monotonous ! All I did was to go to the office,slog there,come home & sleep ! This would have continued if my life wasnt interupted by my old school mates ! Yes, It was a saturday night, I was lying on my bed after a hard day's work.. I got a call on my phone ! The screen displayed -'Harpreet-school'
Harpreet was one of my oldest friends ! My Vik was my best bud ! Btw Vik wasnt here as he had gone to visit his grandparents & attend his cousins marriage in Canada.. ! He had gone for about a month now.. I think just before I met priya at the club.. ! I didnt ring him up because I didnt want to spoil his fun !
Well coming back to the call.. Harp had called me to invite me over for a Drink-Re-Union !
Well Its like Guys dont even need a reason to get drunk ! But after my incident with priya the other night,I had given up my drinking ! I was 3 weeks,sober.. If u had to say !
Well,Obviously My first answer was 'NO',Then i thought, 'Why not ?'
I mean now,c'mon,if that girl doesn't give a Damn about me then why am I suffering here huh ? So I said 'YES' to harpreet ! Let me warn you,back in school days they were all chubby & cute & sweet boys but ab toh saalon ne kameena panti & daaru-giri main pH.D kar li hogi.. !
Vaise,I usually used to meet these guys every year,once,but mostly with vik ! This was the first time,I was going to meet those guys alone ! It felt wierd ! It mostly does when You go to something called 'Re-Union' without your 'Bestie' ! I didnt really like them.. They used to tease me when I was with them at the boarding as 'Motu Ram' saale I bet ab tak toh wo saare bhi Motu ho hi chuke honge,biwi ke haaton ki Butter chicken toos toos ke ! Haan,yaar,most of them were married ! N do-teen ke toh bacche bhi the ! Isiliye main jana nahi chahta tha ! Wo hi stupid sa sawaal poochenge aur chidayenge abhi ki 'teri shaadi nahi huyi ? koi pathi nahi kya ?' Grr... Saale dost aise hote hain toh dushman kasie hote hain ! Ladkiyon se bhi zyada Bitchy the ye log.. ! Well Ab haan keh hi diya hain toh ab peeche kya dekhna.. chalo Beta RAM.. I told myself as I picked myself up from the bed & went inside the washroom to get ready..
It was 8.35... I enetred the lavishly decorated hotel with Bar.It said-R3AR !
What kinda name is that ? LOL ! Well I say the table on which 20 guys sat & laughed so loudly that I bet they could beat any opera singer at breaking glasses :P
I waved at them & pulled a chair as I sat on the table filled with Butter chicks & beer bottles !
"Hey ! Motu Ram... kaisa hai bey ! Patla ho gaya hai tu toh ... khaana nahi khata hai kya ? !!!" Siki screamed across the table,loud enough to embaress me in front of all the people in the hotel ! It was my comeback time ! " Oye.. Haan... Tu Motu ho gaya hai ! Kya hua kuch zyaada kaah raha hai kya ?" It shut him up & Made everyone laugh !
The convo went on ! We laughed our asses off over the Lamest of the PJs.. Well.. thats want old friends do,It had become a Tradition of some sort ! Hm.. Until Niki got up & raised a toast & Then said 'Lets play Truth or dare'
N guys cheered on ! I wasnt really happy with the idea ! I mean I know these guys are my school mates & all that but Drunken-these guys can be Full on,sometimes...
Well they started the game that continued on with the most Personal Truth questions to most embarrasing Dares ! My turn hadnt come yet ! I wished it never did ! I was missing Vik badly ! He is usually like this macho dude who saves his Geekish besty-Me,from bullies-Them ! Aah.. One guy chose Dare & he was made to stand up on the table & dance on an item number ! I so wanted to leave,now ! Punjabi Guys can get really Hardcore when it comes to such Mardaangi stuff ! I was a soft-guy ! Maybe thats why girls rejected me ! Here,I was,apne hi gham main dooba hua & There came my turn ! Shit ! Shit ! No ! I wanted to scream !
They all looked at me like I was a piece of meat & they were hungry lions ready to swallow me up,in one go ! I swallowed a lump & got up !
Rishy spoke "Toh Ram kya choose karoge ?"
Before I spoke Hari,a total slacker,spoke- "hey.. wo dekh yaar... kya mast cheez baiti hain udar.."
Guys ! All their heads turned around,ok,including mine ! HOLYSHIT ! That 'cheez' was priya ?!
I was taken aback ,she was here with a guy ! He looked like a total t**ser ! I was lost in thought ,until harpreet said "Ram.. Dare choose karna.."
I had this wicked smile on this way until everyone there started speaking about her.. I didnt like so many guys talking about her.. So Only to shut them up I said "Chup karo saalon... Wo teri bhabhie hain..."
Rishy" Yaar.. kab bani ?"
I wiped the Evil smile on my face & said "Rukho banake aata hun !"
I walked like a King,with attitude & pride ! The guys gave a background music by screaming "OOOHHH!" as loudly & as disturbing as they could !
I was in full confidence only until I got near her table..
All the guys starring at me aur yaha meri halat beegi billi ban chuki thi ! Ye mujhe ho kya gaya tha ?! What the hell was I thinking ?! I mean wo kisi ladke ke saat thi aur main.. Yaar I wanted to run back & I even turned back to march backwards but...
Scene 16-
but.. She had already seen me !
"Ram"
I was hearing her voice after 3 weeks ! I turned around slowly.. Opened my eyes to look at her !
"Hi.." She said with a hesitant smile..
I just smiled back.
"Uhm.. This is jagdish.." She introduced me to 'My saut'.. Okay.. that was overly dramatic but as they say Jealousy is a green-eyed monster,for sure !
He seemed like a Okay-looking bloke to me ! Iske paas wo kya hai jo mere paas nahi hai ?!
Huh..!
"Oh! Hi.. jag..dish..!" I said with a fake smile.
"He is my jiju",she said noticing my attitude.
"Oh!",I seemed more excited this time.
"Tum Ram ho na ?" Jagdish asked.
"Yes.. ! how do u know ?" I gave a proud smile.
"Priya ne tumhare baare main bataya tha !"he replied
I wanted to ask 'KYA ??' but kept quite !
The awkward silence prevailed.. We three gave each other awkward looks.. Nothing to say,until
Priya spoke "Tum yaha ?"
"bas doston ke saat.." I said,very casually trying to hide all the sulking & crying that I was doing because of her !
"Zyada mat peena, ok ?" she said & laughed..
I gave out a fake laugh...
The jiju guy looked at us trying to relate to what the joke was !
"Am I missing something ?" He asked us..
I kept my mouth shut !
Priya changed the topic ASAP !
"Hm.. then howz work ?" she said..
I was No longer interested in the awkward chit chat ! So I decided I should leave the jiju saali alone..
"Fine. Ok then I must not interrupt you guys anymore.. I will see you,then.."I said..
I turned around ! Took a deep breath & began to walk..
When she suddenly got up & said "Rukho !"
My legs stopped & I turned around.. "Kya ?" I asked..
"Mujhe tumse baat karni hain,ek min chalo !" she said.
I looked at the jiju ! Jiju looked fine with me going with her for 'A TALK'.
"Sure" I said !
I looked back my friends were waving at me ! I turned around trying to ignore those guys !
"Come on !" She said !
I followed her like a pooch :P
We went up to the terrace ! I couldnt figure out what was on her mind ! Well,Yeah,Understanding Women isnt really a Cake Walk.. That much I knew ! But I had my own doubts now ?! Was she planning on murdering me or something ?! Or maybe It was just my-Crime patrol-influenced Head that was doing the rounds :P
Ok my heart was beating fast as I entered The terrace !
She went to the Edge of the terrace ! I went behind her,turning around carefully to see if anyone was trying to kill me !
She stood there.. Spreading her arms & taking in the fresh Air ! The sight of the Fully Glowing Metropolitan city was just Amazing !
I stood next to her ! Then my mind turned out..
Aakhir priya mujhe kyun maaregi ? Maine uska bigada hi kya hain ? I dont even stalk her,these days.. shayad wo meri jaidaat hadapna chahti hai ! The crazy me went on thinking when I was suddenly interrupted by priya !
"Ek baat poochun ?" Priya said.
Abhi poochegi Ram tu kaise marna pasand karoge ? chaku ya yaha se khood ke ? LOL,I tried to control my laughter & Said "YEah" With a straight face !
"Kya tum ab bhi mujhse pyaar karte ho ?"
Errr,,... WHAT ?! I just starred... Now I was sure she was going to push me down ! Pyaar karne ki itni badi sazaa mat do ! Nahhiii !
Ok I officially had lost it !
"Ram ?" she shook me !
I came back to my senses " Uhm.. kya ?" I said,looking as confused as ever !
"Main ab bhi tumse pyaar karti hun !" she said and looked away !
MAAR DAALA saaali ne đ ! xD
