Am quite happy with you guys when you say how much you dislike this happening with geet or not liking how she was forced. My aim in this story was to make you feel her thoughts and this says how mych am successful in my attempt.

Chachi please you cant do this with me, geet said for the umpteenth time to shalini, but her words fell on deaf ears. Geet try to understand, my point of view too, shouted shalini.

Chachi , no I just cant understand your logic. How can marrying me off be a solution to any problem? There are god knows so many girls out there and if all their parents decide to marry them will it give any solution, boliye.

A girl has to marry one or the other day and so you have to marry too, why are you not understanding that, cant you just listen to me for once geet, said shalini throwing her hands in hair.

So, when did I had refused for marriage, but har cheej ki shi umar shi samay hota hai. At least think of my age, I am just 16, a minor. For god sake if you don't fear of god, atleast fear law, you are doing a crime; child marriage is illegal, said geet trying to make shalini understand.

(I don't know this generation gap things, but in our time, many girls were married to older guys, even your mom dad had age difference of 11 years between them but still their love was famous in our whole village)

Geet just made a frustrated face at the explanation, yaar what type of thinking is this. Agar mother had married an older guy then I have to marry too. And coming to the thinking, what type of family is this, one side they are claiming themselves to be so nice and on the other side planning to marry their son to an underage girl.

Chachi, if that would have been nice, then he wouldn't have agreed for marriage on the first place. They are just faking to be nice, warna koi bhala ladki 16 saal ki ladki se shadi karta kay, geet said with a disgust

Geet they think you are 21, wo tujhe suhana samajhte hai. I didn't told them you had elder sister and I hope you will maintain the secret in future too, said chachi with firm tone.

Geet just shook her head, no I wont. You are even cheating them. How could you do that? Did you for once thought what would happen when they would come to know of it. You are spoiling two lives here for just some silly reason. I wont let it happen. I will tell him everything when he will call me, geet shouted at her as she tried to control her sobs.

No you wont, if you ever did that before this marriage takes place, you will see my dead face. Geet the meri sar ki kasam, kabhi apni maa samjha ho to tu aisa kabhi nhi karegi warna mera mara mooh dekhegi, said shalini giving her a final glare.

She turned to go out when she heard geet's last words, "would you have did the same with your own blooded daughter??" the pain and betrayal was visible in her voice as she finally let loose her sobs.

Shalini's steps froze as she heard her last words and closed the door behind her back. She could hear her sobs even after closing the door. Only she knew how much it pained to hear her cry but she just couldn't do anything to console her at the moment.

With slow steps, she reached her room and looked at her husband who was standing near the window looking at nothing in particular. She knew what he is thinking, the same thought was bugging her mind too since last few days but could they tell that to geet, no she cant or that girl would completely breakdown.

She walked to mohinder and hugged him tightly, letting her own tears loose which she was holding since morning. Mohinder immediately consoled her as tears filled his eyes too. He kissed her forehead, patting her back while she just cried and cried.

Are you sure about what you are doing, we can still rethink on the issue' said mohinder after few minutes of silence. Shalini knew what he was trying to say but she knew there is no other way. She just hoped god wont do anything more wrong in geet's life as he had did till now. She never got what she wished ever hope it would be done in future atleast.

Mohinder took a deep sigh as he agreed with shalini. He though isn't much sure about the decision but he knew if she had decided something it would be for her benefit. He was a never a man to express himself and that's why he never bonded much with any of his children. It had been always like that, she takes decision and he just agrees for it as he doesn't trust himself in family matters. But this he is not sure, are they doing right?? He doesn't know nor he want to think on it.

Would she have done the same with her own daughter???, geet's word were still ringing in her mind. She knew how much it would have pained her to say the same and she knew this too how much she had loved her as a daughter.

Both suhana and geet had been young when she took them with her but their was just a single difference between them. At then, suhana was 7 and had turned a little independent too after seeing all that. Suhana had been a closed shell for her which she could never see through. That doesn't mean suhana doesn't love her or she doesn't love suhana, but suhana could never see her as a mother. For her, she was always her chachi as she had spent a considerable period with her mother.

Geet was so small, just two, a girl who didn't even knew a proper vocabulary. She had seen geet grown up in front of her eyes, her first dance, her first sketch it was all filled with shalini. For geet, her mother was shalini from the time she ever remembered and that's the reason geet's place is far too special in her heart. And to ask would she have decided the same for her own daughter too, yes she would have, if she can do that for geet, she can do for anyone.
