Hello Everyone. Long time! I heard about the future track...and well, I just wont go there. I decided to write a letter to someone at Zee...expressing my feelings about the whole thing--which I thought I would share with you all. Here it is:

My name is Archana Verma. I had sent you an email previously, but since I hadnt gotten a reply yet, thought I would try again. I realize you must be extremely busy, and your inbox is probably flooded :) But as they say..."If at first you dont succeed, try, try, try again"...so here we are. :)

Zee is a great channel- I remember the first serial I ever started watching was Astitva. Pretty long time ago. There were plenty of other shows too- Saat Phere, Kasam Se, Teen Bahuraniyaan, and the list goes on. I was definitely a regular watcher of the soaps over the years and fully enjoyed them. However, I had never been too involved in them. Until now.

Now I found myself all over India Forums (which I had just joined in April 2012), on Facebook as Admin of a large Fan Group, writing an article for Fuze Magazine contest, and watching SBB/SBS (which Id never even heard of before)---all for the first time ever---and that too because of an Indian Television show. All manner of things which I never thought possible. Just never imagined a show could make such an impact on me at such a level. Not to that extent anyway!

All because of a Zee TV Show called Pavitra Rishta. And a new, young couple--Arjun and Purvi. ARVI. I dont know if it is the chemistry of the 2 young actors, Rithvik and Asha, their obvious comfort level with each other, or what they represent- a young couple of todays world, or what it is? An arrogant, spoiled NRI boy and a fiesty, yet simple middle class Indian girl. But they touched my heart. And the heart of many others as well.

Ive attached a copy of the article I wrote..with some minor changes...to kind of show you just who Arjun and Purvi are and what they mean to us. When you created them, and particularly those 2 actors to play them, it really was a winner. They are just so real. With their fights, mistakes, misunderstandings, yet funny times and deep, deep love and passion for each other.

See it is not about the story or track. It is Rithvik and Asha. They are Arjun and Purvi. See, even if ARVI would reunite and we had the best track ever for them it wouldnt matter. If Rithvik was replaced by another actor as Arjun, opposite Asha/Purvi, or Asha was replaced by another actress as Purvi- opposite Rithvik/Arjun, it simply wouldnt be the same. The 2 of them simply set the screen on fire.

Now the future story track pairs them with other people. Not just as it pertains to the other characters in terms of the show- but to other actors. And no, it is not the same. Though both are doing a great job in their portrayal of their respective roles, and making every effort to do their job, you get the feeling that there is something missing.

Rithvik/Shruti and Shakti/Asha simply do not have that type of explosive chemistry. So it is nowhere near the same. It is very simple really. That kind of chemistry we only see with Asha and Rithvik----much like Ankita and Sushant---and we want to see them back together. And all the emotions, intensity, chemistry, and hilarity they bring out in each other is such a treat to watch. Balaji and Zee truly hit a homerun with this pairing.

It's not about blasting the track, story, or show...we want to just see these two be ARVI again. We want to laugh with them, cry with them, get angry with them and have the fun of watching them go through life together- and all its ups and downs.

Thank you again for bringing them to us, and its my sincere hope that we get to see them back together to rock the show, Zee, and my TV screen again!!

Sincerely,
Archana

Excellent post! Loved it word to word. Quoting the lines that spoke out the best!

Arjun and Purvi's characters have been solely made and only fit into the faces of Rithvik and Asha. The life that they have put into the characters is what has sparked this fan base. And right now, Arjun and Purvi are fading away at the hands of others who can't give the same amount of fire on screen.

I can't say more because you are so on point and it is written so well.

Thank you for this!

Thank you Eshu and Ashfaq. Sometimes we do over complicate things...and get carried away...*chuckles* and it becomes necessary to just get back down to the basics. 😉

Wonderful post!

I too discovered so much because of Arvi. I normally didn't watch all these Indian television serials and soaps, but Arjun and Purvi's relationship and chemisty changed all that. They can't just play musical chairs and change the couples around and expect us to digest that! Especially when they gave us such a beautiful couple likes Arvi to begin with.

I just want Arjun and Purvi back, I want to see them fire up the screen with their exemplary chemistry again! I want love to PREVAIL and I want to see our 2nd leads pavitra rishta come back again!

Hi Archana,
One of the most thoughtful post!
I was completely blended in with your feelings that you poured to zee.
Every word you have expressed are rational enough to see as to why we want our Arjun and Purvi back. Its not just about the chemistry, its about commitment, acceptance and settlement with eachother. We see those qualities between Rithvik and Asha, which is why their chemistry onscreen is so apprecitable. And i call it a hit.
A lot of people out there have assumed Arvians to only lust for their chesmitry as per romance and call it a love? Absolutely not! Romance is just part of love but there are many other things that we all love to see between them. And its understanding, loving without reasoning etc. New generation's audience have sensibility to know what is right and what is wrong.
But apart from that, i think the quality of entertainment that Rithvik and Asha provides is unbeatable as compare to the current track we are seeing. I am not just disappointed but dishearten to watch such unrealistic issues taking place in PR. I dont see why there was a need for two pregnancies, when one was planned to kill off recently just to promote new pairings.
I dont know how things will settle back to its vital track, but all i want to say is that, we just didnt want Arvi back because we are fans of them, but because Rithvik and Asha completes each other in every way. That is why we see an exceptional love story taking its heights on popularity.
Hopefully zee, cvs, and most of all Ekta see beyond their Trps, because its not about business. Its about respecting our emotions.

Arch, one of the most sincere and heartfelt request made after a long time.
I miss ArVi dearly. These days, I hardly watch the show and I dont like where its going so I prefer not to comment on the current track.
But - what once was a a beautiful love story - I wish if they could salvage it. :(.
Thank you for sharing with us.

arch, awesome one. very nice ARVI post after a long time.

Rithvik and Asha set the screen on fire with their great chemistry. They give life to the role Arjun and Purvi. But where is my young charming arrogant Arjun snd where is our self confident Purvi. plz CVs you have tried enough, u can convince us that we ARVIans are minority. But you know its not true. please build strong story line around them.
