In the show Asad and Najma saw their mum fighting for her life, it's a hard experience to see someone like that and hats of to anyone who has actually had a similar experience.
Just a question, have any of you lot ever been through that experience where you have nearly or have lost a close person to you? I don't want to force anyone so they get upset, but its a chance to get to know each other more.

Obviously if I start of, yes I have many times I was 8 so 7 years ago I first saw my dad fighting for his life and after that I saw him many times. I'm one of the youngest but one of the strongest because everyone around me had broken down.
And last year I still didn't cry when he past away, all of those experience made me 'cold hearted' according to everyone else. It's hard but we have to move on

aww :| thats really hard but yep as you said, we have to move on. i can understandd i too lost someone very close to me. last year lost my best friend to cancer it was the most unexpected and painful experience. I don't really break down and i try my bestt to not feel the pain. My family also say im cold hearted because we have our problems and i act as thought it doesnt affect me but i guess going through that pain kind of braces you for anything. so i totally get you.

seeing that episode actually brought me back to the last day i saw her (in the hospital ) ... but life goes on 😊and here's a quote that give me some solace, maybe it can help you guys too ' they say friends are like stars, you may not always see them but they are always there' ❤️

Ah, the standard 'cold-hearted' because you did not tear out your hair, pound your bosom as your railed against the fates, producing copious buckets of tears.

Never let 'others' (be they family members) label you something...everybody is unique and everybody deals with grief in a different manner.
Yours is simply more private when compared to the drama of others.

Be free to be yourself.

My condolences are with you.
Sorry for everyone's lost.
But the scene of Dilshad in the hospital was very emotional;
It made me tear up; but everyone needs to be strong, to move on in life.
Wish everyone all the best!

That must have been hard, I talk to my best friend every day and when I don't it must be hard but for me moving on is the best option

I don't really get affected, because I'm one of those people who don't really care what people think about me, because once others words get to your head people change

I lost my brother when I was barley 7! I was just old enough to understand loss and his death effected me very badly! Even today I feel the impact of that loss on myself and my family. But you are right, we do have to move on!

Like you, I too am not a "cryer", but that doesn't mean that we don't feel! It doesn't make us cold hearted! We are just stronger than those who can't control their emotions at all! I have faced tough situations in my life without getting too emotional, because I learnt young what real loss was! So other things don't phase me as much as it might do someone else who has not faced such trauma.

I am very sorry for your loss! But going through such an experience does make you a stronger person!

Grief is a very private emotion, and don't let anyone else decide what or how you should express it.

My condolences to you.

there are many ways one expresses their grief and no body has the right to decide how it should be expressed, i have seen people who judged me for my actions for keeping my feelings to my self as they themselves conveniently let these feeling known to the world..that is just not me..

don't let others decide for you how you should feel..be yourself..and enjoy life as it is..its only temporary anyways..let the Almighty be judge of our emotions, actions and trials..
