SS : Falling in love with a pregnant lady.
Chapter 1 :
"Khushi Kumari Gupta!! This is the last time I am saying..I am NOT father of your unborn child!"
"Khushi shrugged and ate her scoop. Finally, when it was over she said," You are his/her Father..Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada!"
Arnav stood there, fuming in anger.
"Listen Ms. Gupta you...", he was about to say something, when she wailed in pain.
"Ah..!", she exclaimed while holding her tummy.
Arnav's anger vanished in a matter of seconds. He ran towards her and asked in a concerned voice,
"What happen Khushi? Do you need a doctor? Wait I'll call her.", Arnav said, while quickly dialling doc's number.
"Arnav...Arnav...Wait! I am fine! Its just a normal pain. Don't worry! I am absolutely fine!", convinced Khushi.
"But...you.."
"I told you no, I am fine. Its just that I need some rest.", she said, while touching her head. Arnav arranged the pillows back and helped 7 month pregnant Khushi to lie down.
"Arnav, can I hold your hands and sleep?", she asked innocently. Arnav nodded in yes and with other hand started caressing her forehead. Slowly, Khushi drifted to sleep..but Arnav continued the caressing.
It was not that he found Khushi somewhere lying on the side road, helpless, wailing for help. Or she was not the girl whom he took for one night stand...why only her...Arnav never ever had a thought of one-night stand ever!
Khushi was his P.A...one of the most beautiful lady he had ever seen. She was intelligent and hardworking. She was his secret crush and probably, he was her's. But, arrival of Nicks a.k.a Nandkishore, made his assumption go wrong. Nicks was Arnav's best friend and joined his company sometimes back. After his arrival, Khushi, most of the time was spotted with him. More than Arnav, she gave importance to him. Gradually, the idea of secret crush, starting fading away from his mind...and finally, Khushi, from his secret crush again became only his P.A.
But, his admiration for her never became less. He still admired her innocence, her beauty and hardworking nature. Everything was going fine when one night changed their lives completely.
It was usual get together of office staff...but this time it was grand, on the celebration of company's recent profits. Everybody was enjoying the celebrations...Nicks and Khushi, as usual were together. But, Arnav was alone. He was standing in the corner and was enjoying the scene. Suddenly, he felt thirsty and as it was Friday, no wine day, he ordered for grape juice. Either it was communication problem or someone had conspired, his juice was exchanged with wine. Arnav was watching Khushi dancing and even if he felt the unusual taste of juice, he never bothered about it.
He took one more glass of same and after that he was totally in drunken state. He never knew, who came...dragged him to room and made him sleep. As he woke up in the morning, he felt a bit heavy head due to high dosage. Suddenly, bell of his room rang and while holding his head he made his way to the door. As he came out, he spotted Khushi coming out of Nicks room. They were discussing something and after that both hugged each other. Suddenly, Arnav remembered about them dancing together last night.
An unusual gloom covered him. He assumed that both of them had been deeply in love and might have spent a ni...that thought, pierced his heart a bit, but he felt happy for Khushi. Weeks passed by, and surprisingly, there was no sign of either Nicks or Khushi. Arnav did tried their cell but it was always unreachable.
Three weeks later, after that night, Arnav got a call from Nicks, who informed him about Khushi's deteriorating health and her fainting that morning. Why he called him after so many days was not the point to be pondered about... he left everything, then and there, and rushed towards the prescribed hospital. He went inside and started looking for Khushi. Finally, outside a doc's cabin, he found her depressed form. She was sitting alone...crying continuously, with no sign of Nicks around her to wipe away her tears. Unable to digest the crying Khushi he called out..
"Khushi."
Khushi heard the similar husk, protective voice of his'. She looked towards him, and slowly stood up from her chair. She first walked, then finally ran towards him and gave him a tight, forceful hug. Arnav didn't even thought of this hug, let alone be prepared for same. Gradually his hands rose up to soothe her. He held her tightly and let all her sorrows drench his shirt. Finally, between the cries she spoke,
"I am pregnant Arnav."
Arnav was happy for her..but Nicks absence clearly told him that he has left her alone in this state...but why?
Before Arnav could call Nicks or ask Khushi about his whereabouts, she fainted in his arms. He picked her up and rushed towards the doc's room. She examined her and emphasised on her mental and body stress. She advised , that Khushi's caretaker has to keep her happy and healthy...for normal growth and delivery of the baby. Arnav hated Nicks for leaving Khushi in a such a bad state and never informing about her health. Forgetting about everything, Arnav took the responsibility of taking care of her. He was afraid of her reaction, once she gets up and ask about NK.
She finally gained concious that night and before Arnav could tell her about NK's absence she smiled at him and pulled him for a hug. She whispered happily,
"Arnav, you are going to be dad soon!"
Arnav was shocked to hear that. She was pregnant with NK's child, then why she was saying that he's going to be dad soon. Arnav was about to say this, but Doc's advice kept him mum. But, when she started keeping well, Arnav told her everything...and promised that he would find Nicks soon.
Still Khushi denied that fact, and since then, she has determined to make Arnav believe that she was pregnant with his baby. Simultaneously, Arnav determined to take care of Khushi and find Nicks before Khushi's baby is born...to find answer of her unusual claim...to find answers of his sudden absence.
7 months have passed by and there was no sign of Nicks. Arnav made his men run in every direction, he thought, Nicks could be found. But, it seemed that he was lost in an unknown world...or probably deliberately got lost.
Arnav was sitting beside Khushi, still stroking her head. Tomorrow is a new day and he has to find Nicks anyhow...for Khushi, for her baby, for her happiness.
