Women are often marginalised in our society. Many Indian cinema's leading leading ladies got married at the peak of their careers. Do you think marriage deals a death blow to the career of an Indian actress? And who's to blame? Audiences? Or are wary producers second-guessing what audience want and, more importantly, don't want? Or, does the leading lady herself change her priorities?

^ I agree ! Didn't know Rakhi played a mother to heroes whom she once acted opposite. Does anyone know which heroes/ actors were they ?

I dont know enough about Rekha's career or those yesteryear actors, but I'm not surprised to hear that.

I also think that its in the mind of producers that just assume audiences will be unable to connect with married women, and not the audiences themselves.

I mean, fevicol came after Kareena's marriage, but guys still found her hot.

Men still think Malaika Arora is desirable and she's a mother of two.
