Vidya Balan
Sanjay Dutt is reviving his father Sunil Dutt's production company, Ajanta Arts, with a film titled Beehad. The film will be directed by Milan Luthria and will star Vidya Balan along with Dutt. Beehad is based on a real-life story that Sanju heard while travelling through North India earlier this year.

Image makeover

Currently in Mahabaleshwar shooting Hat Trick, Milan says, "After I finished writing Beehad's script, I narrated the story to Vidya. She liked it and we're currently in the process of working things out. Once the formalities are done, she will sign on the dotted line."

Barely two films old, Vidya has already developed a non-glamorous, goody-two-shoes sort of image. But Luthria will give her a glamorous and sensual makeover in his film.

He says, "An actor's image is all about perceptions. I go for actors who make a connection with the viewer. It's got nothing to do with the image, which can be turned around. Vidya is a malleable and talented actress. Her role in Beehad is very dramatic, glamourous and sensual, and will be a change from her goody-goody image. It's interesting to put people outside their comfort zones and test their skills."

Filmi friendship

Beehad also stars Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan. "They are the most talented and dependable actors and friends. I got to know both of them over 12 years ago, while I was assisting Mahesh Bhatt on Najayaz and Gumraah. They were on their way to becoming superstars. Today, we share a very strong friendship. The three of us share similar tastes in films as well as life, and that's the reason why we click," says Milan.

What is Beehad about?

Milan doesn't want to give away too many details, but says, "Beehad is a cat-and-mouse thriller based in the ravines of North India. In fact, Beehad actually means the ravines. It's based on a true story about two men and a woman. While travelling through the interiors, Sanju heard about this story and even met the people involved. Then he asked me if this was worth making a film on, and I immediately said yes."

Beehad will see the revival of two banners — Sunil Dutt's Ajanta Arts and Rajendra Kumar's Aryan Films — which will produce the film along with Bunty Walia's GS Entertainment.

Cool, nice to see some talant is being acknowledged but the unfortunate thing is that the vulgarity that makes Bollywood look soo cheap will get to Vidya and she will too become of those actresses who will use her body and small cloths to sell her films!! It really is unfortuanate!!!! Anyways, thanx for sharing the info!!!
