tele-stars Eid preparation!

As the Ramzaan month draws to an end, and Eid is around the corner, we ask our tele-stars on their preparation for the big day.

Rituals: This year, I observed only four rozas on the days when I was not shooting. As I wear make-up and use glycerin for my shoots, it hampers the fast as one is not allowed to use make-up while fasting.

Celebrate: Eid is essentially gorging on sheer-kurma and biryani made by mom. I call over all my friends to join in the celebration. My cousins, too, come down and I have to give their children iddi. Of course, every year I look forward to the special Eid dress. This year I have got a lovely peach coloured salwar-kameez which I am dying to wear on the d-day.

Rituals: This is the first year that I haven't observed rozas because I am undergoing homeopathy treatment for my sinus problem. Also, there is a little chaos in the house because I have just become the proud father of a lovely baby girl. I believe in the saying 'Eid usiki jiska roza' so its going to be a rewarding Eid for those who fasted steadfastly.

Celebrate: For me, Eid means attending the Eid namaaz, meeting my parents and visiting the home of Dilip Uncle and Saira Aunty. My mom is an amazing cook and she cooks the most exotic non-vegetarian dishes that my wife cannot match either. My friend and mentor Sachinji visits me on every Eid and I invite my colleagues to join in the festivities.

Rituals: I understand the significance of Ramzaan but unfortunately haven't been able to observe the rozas because of the erratic timings that we work under. It becomes difficult to perform namaaz all five times which means rozas just become abstaining from food without remembering the almighty. Earlier, I would never miss the Friday namaaz but now, I don't even remember the day because of work pressure.

Celebrate: Though Eid is of for those who observe the rozas, I am looking forward to it too. Its one day that I get to meet my family. The day begins with the early morning Eid namaaz with my dad and brother. Then I visit all my relatives, many of whom come down from my dad's home-town Solapur. I am not very fond of sweets, so limit having the sheer-kurma but gorge on the biryani and other mutton delicacies.

Rituals: Eid is a huge affair in our house. Everybody in our house without any exception observes the rozas. We also celebrate Diwali with equal fervour but this time Diwali is going to be quiet because it is clashing with the last 10 rozas which are considered very auspicious in Muslims.

Celebrate: So, I am saving all my festive spirit for Eid. It's a good time to meet up with the family, enjoy gorgeous food and indulge in money-giving (iddi) by the elders to the children.
