Chapter 23
The phone had been ringing loudly since a few times. Arjun had tried ignoring his mobile, praying that the person won't persist and cut the call, if he's not taking his phone. But unfortunately that person was a very stubborn person, he continued calling. Arjun opened his eyes and looked at the time, "It's only 6 a.m, who is disturbing us at this time!" he grumbled. He answered the call and all his sleep was lost when he heard Rathore shouting in the phone.
"Arjun, phone kyun nahin pick up kar rahe the? Arjun pata nahin Shaina kahan chali gayi. Shaina hasn't returned since last night, and her phone is no longer reachable and it's switched off. She said she was going for shopping and never returned back!"
"What? How can you be so careless? She hasn't been home since last night, and it's only now that you are telling me this!" Arjun said angrily and got up from the bed quickly.
"I... I'm sorry no one really noticed it until this morning, when Trishna said Shaina was not in her room," Rathore replied guiltily.
Arjun sighed and answered, "Dont worry, try calling all her friends and see if she hasn't been to one of them?"
"That's why i'm calling you, Riya kahan par hein? Shaina is her sister nah, ask her about it. I dont know any of Shaina's friends." Rathore replied softly.
Arjun in his haste had forgotten that Rathore didnt remember anything, "It's ok. Tell Shree to try and locate where she was last. Did she say about which shopping mall she was going? Try to see if there was any camera or if anything else? I'll talk with Riya, and once the roads are cleared, we are returning back." He cut the call and turned back to look at Riya, who was still sleeping in his bed. She was really a heavy sleeper, despite so many phone rings, her sleep hadn't been broken. She was still sleeping with a baby like face. Her face radiated peace and happiness. He was a bit sorry that he'd have to wake her up and give her some bad news.
Rathore was feeling very guilty after talking with Arjun. He didnt know why but he felt responsible if anything ever happened to Shaina, and he also didnt know why but there was a certain fear inside of his heart when he thought about Shaina. He was also angry at himself for having fought with Shaina again yesterday. Maybe if he hadn't fought and insulted her, she wouldn't have gone out and disappeared.

After a long time, seeing Riya and Arjun in love, gave a sense of happiness to Shaina. Despite her own love story was a mess, she felt happy seeing people in love. And she couldn't have wished for a better dewar and devrani than Arjun Riya. She had really become quite close to both of them. She also felt a part of this family nowadays. Of course she had been slightly jealous of Riya earlier, but now she knew there will never be anything between Riya and Rathore. She was down memory lane, remembering when she and Rathore had first realised that they were in love. They had also behaved so idiotically as Arjun and Riya. She remembered the first time Rathore had said i love you to her. She was smiling, completely lost in her thoughts, when suddenly she bumped into someone.
"Sorry," she said and looked to see that she had bumped onto Rathore.
"It's ok," Rathore said, and he noticed Shaina smiling for the first time, "kya huwa itna khush lag rahi ho aaj?"
Shaina could hardly tell him that she was remembering their love dates, she blushed and looked elsewhere than at him, "Kuch bhi to nahin." She decided it safer to change the topic, "muhje ek modelling assignment mili hein!"
But one look at his face, and she knew it was the worst thing she should have brought up.
"Modelling? Again? Iss modelling ne tumhe kya diya hein?" Rathore said angrily. He had completely forgotten that he had promised he wont fight with Shaina.
"Apko mere modelling se kya problem hein," Shaina asked sadly. She had lost all her happiness when Rathore shouted at her.
Rathore felt even angrier when he saw all happiness leave her face, she was again looking gloomy as before, and out of anger he said, "Yeh nautanki band karo! Tumhe to model nahin, actress banena chahiye tha!"
Shaina didnt know what else to do, she knew if she persisted Rathore would end up even more angrier and he'd say even more hurtful words, so she turned and ran from there to her room. As soon as she reached her room, she locked her door and went to cry in the bathroom.

On the other hand Rathore was feeling very guilty for having shouted at her. Belatedly he remembered his promise to Arjun.

Shaina decided to go for some shopping to forget her pain for some time. Since she reached the shopping mall, she felt being observed. But since she was a model, she didnt pay any attention to this. She was walking along a corridor when suddenly someone grabbed her and took her out through an emergency exit.
She was going to shout when she saw who it was, "Tum?"
