Umm..well actually..whn you make a new post..you see it for a few secs...and then lets say after a hour if you come bac to the same post you made, then no delete button. So yes it's there, but not "forever."

Did you try refreshing? Right away...after u make a post refresh..and then you SHOULD see it.
