Diwakar outperforming Sanchita ? that's a lttle bit of a stretch. No doubt he has shown some improvement under the professional coaching from Bappi. It was expected. He is a very intelligent boy, speaks very well and has tremendous resilience to work through odds. All these go in his favor, but still, sorry to say he is no singer. Sanchita is in a different category altogether. As said Abhijit - 'there is no competition'.

I wouldn't agree that Diwakar has outperformed Sanchita. He has improved from where he was, and the Banaras episode was the best among all his previous performances. Diwakar is a hardworking and focused lad, but he still has a long way to go to reach the level of Sanchita.

Read the title of the thread. Yes we are talking about the final test, not arguing the past or judging overall performance. Cuz in a World Cup, whoever wins the final wins the Cup, even if they lost to the runnersup in the earlier rounds. No use looking back on what happened in the qualifiers, so please don't waste our time.

haha, 20% on the 1st test, 70% on the 2nd test. so shld we assume 120% on the 3rd test by exterpolation? could it just be possible that a more accurate reading is between 20% and 70%? or at best that the peak is 70%?

also sort of strange to think that it took bappida the great all of one week to bring about such an improvement in him. after singing for so many years, nice to know that bappida could do for him what none of his other gurus cld previously do (and i am assuming he had other gurus). also, if he has improved so much, then was he really good enough to have made the earlier rounds? what if we had given similar chances to other eliminated contestants as well? isnt it possible that they wld have also shown improvement?

btw, let's make a distinction between judging someone and judging someone's singing. Noone's impugning his character, his personal being. That wld be wrong. Just thought i shld clarify because you do have a post later on referring to "judging someone". Even the courts dont judge someone; they actually pass judgment on the "charges". big difference.
