Laziness. Cutting/editing quoted posts takes some energy and time which are better spent on fanwars. I think I-F should simply do some coding magic, like on some other forums, that automatically removes anything beyond 3 nested quotes. Some forums have it so only you end up quoting one post (you hit the quote the button and only that post shows up). If you want to quote more than 3 you'd have to do manually do it, adding the QUOTE tags and copy-pasting stuff, etc.



That is seriously annoying. Again, I-F should simply make it possible to disable the quote option from the first post.

IF should implement a automated system of not allowing more than 3 quotes. That will solve this problem.
