Bans/Restrictions on Films: Fair or not?

Banning a film is not a right at all in my opinion for 1% because each filmakers have their views they tried to express their views but because of this so called censor some filmakers are not willing to take the risk.



Vishwaroopam Ban is not acceptable also for even 1% because it based on terrorism ok then what about many many many films comes based on terrorism. Like they are beating the villian who is terrorist and kills him but our tamil nadu government won't band those crap masala film. But if they take movie about terrorsim means they will banned what a comedy tamil nadu government.



What ever they are banning a film one day that film will release only so banning a film is not useful at all. Actuall problem of Vishwaroopam is it is a hard hitting film that shows the life of terrorist so on after watching the film many of them are awestruck also some people hate kamal they just speaks bad about Vishwaroopam and portest starte and benned also happen. Now a days censor board is very strict i see a video of Selavaraghavan he tells the problem he faced on Ayyirahtil Oruvan censored they are muting each and every sound like words like poda, loosu, so on like what the point on muting these words 😆 if they muted these words also people will know these words 😆 they are making a biggest comedy on muting these words.. Any of you know a film called Aaranya Kaandam it got 50 cuts which is highest ever cut for a indian film but that film face issue for more tan 3 years due to those censor board. Finally they work hard and complain and go with 3 cuts.. These censro have to change or otherwise we only have to watch the crap masala movies all the time and tamil cinema will go down a lot for sure. If we want honest attempt means censor have to change next changed should be our audience for not appreciating some value films then only some filmakers will think audience appreciating honest attempt and will take risk 😆




First of all cinema and politics are two different field both should not come together or mixed together dot this is what I am saying.. dot..

For me it's completely unfair to censor a movie because it's based on terrorism !

Im not quite in favour of banning films.
India is a democracy isnt it ? Everyone has the right to express their personal point of view ... and if an artist (say Kamal Haasan) is taking the mode of media such as films to state his view then why not ?
Also people in India are well educated to understand the difference between real life and reel life. What we see onscreen has nothing to do with our real lives .. and We citizens are intelligent enough to understand it.

According to me any ban or restriction is necessary if and only if a movie promotes violence or has the capability to affect the mentality of viewers deeply otherwise its not really required.
If such restrictions are made on every film now and then, how can our film industry develop ? Until and unless such sensitive issues are touched and people are educated about it what is the use of such a mode of mass media ?
I think time had come when this media gets liberty and people get the liberty to choose what is right and wrong for them. If the censor board is there to ait and decide what changes are necessary in a film and it then allows a film to be aired, then the govt. Shouldnt have any say in it IMO !!!

Day by day the banning become terrible. If we talk about realitiy they are banning the film. Become bad day by day..

If Censor board says the film is ok, then no one has any rights to ban it. 🥱

The ban on Vishwaroopam is rather insulting the fans of Tamil movies as well 🤔
