***Part 20-i***

Viren had just picked up Jeevika from the airport and was driving over to Ajay's place where everyone was hanging out deciding on the next step. Jeevika wanted to meet with Manvi and Deepu before going home. Jeevika entered into a room filled with laughter, loud chatter and jokes with everyone having dinner. Ajay had ordered chineese for everyone. Ajay lived with his mom in an apartment around the same area the Vadhera's lived.

Jeevika turned to Viren and asked him puzzled "Are you sure everything you just told me happened today?"

Viren laughed "Tum ko toh pata hai Virat aur Ajay ke bare main, they have been monkeying around to cheer the girls."

"Care to share the joke with us people??" Viren asked loudly.

"Di!!!!!!!!!!" Manvi ran to Jeevika. "you couldn't even stay away for a few days without jiju haaan?" she teased her laughing.

"Main akele kya karti Mannu, tu bhi nahi thi, Virat bhi nahi aur Viren toh pehle se hi, isiliye agayi. Tu teek toh hain naa? I have been worried sick about you both through out my flight."

"Muje kya hoga? Hain na mera bodyguard 24x7 mera khayaal rakne ke liye." She said as Virat came hugged his bhabi.

"Acha Deepu kaha hai?" Jeevika asked as they all turned around to see Deepu laughing holding her stomach as Ajay was telling her something dramatically with a sock puppet. It was funny because she was still wearing her red lehenga from morning. They all exchanged smiles and decided not to disturb them.

"Jeevika tum kuch khalo, main abhi aaya.." Viren took Virat to the balcony saying that he had to talk about something important with him.

"Bhai, ghar main hungama hai, Deepti aur Manvi ke bare main. Deepti's grandfather is at home talking with dadaji as we speak. They asked me to bring you home right now with Manvi." Viren said holding his head. It had been a really long day and it doesn't seem like its going to end anytime soon.

"Kya??" "Bhai, then it's probably a bad idea to take Manvi there, I don't want to put her through any more stress today. I can probably imagine what will happen there. There are going to ask me questions, the answers for which, I do not want to give in these circumstances. I wanted to sit everybody down and tell them about me and Manvi nicely, as a happy news. But ab, iss halath main, its very unpredictable bhai. Let us both go for now."

"Nahi Virat, woh baat nahi hai, woh bhi hain, par right now, they are asking me about the tape we shot in Deepu's room. They want to silence the issue."

"What???" Virat looked at Viren shocked.

"Haan. Abhi tape Ajay ke paas hai. Deepu's grandfather has been talking with people to get Ajay out of the way, get him suspended."

"But why? How can dadaji talk to him knowing all this?" Virat asked grasping the gravity of the situation. If the matter is silenced, a lot of things were at stake. First Deepu, even Manvi is at risk. Ajay's job is at risk and him and Viren also, will be targeted for being a part of it. But, first things first both Manvi and Deepu need to be protected at any cost.

"Dadaji believes only what Kashyap ji is telling him and that's what I am scared about. I don't think Judge Kashyap is a good man. I have never seen this side of him before." Viren was pacing before Virat.

"Alright, Bhai. Please aap bhi dinner kar le, we will leave in a bit and try to handle the situation. I cannot let this thing disappear."

After Viren left to join Jeevika for dinner, a tired Manvi came hugged Virat's hand tightly resting her head on it. "Kya huva Virat?" Manvi asked."Why are you so tensed? Ab to sab pareshani khatam ho gayi na." she asked.

However, Virat seemed lost in so many thoughts. His tension began to engulf him as he thought about what all could possibly happen in the next few days.

Virat took a deep breath. He was looking at the view from there, trying to clear his head. He needed to tell everything honestly to his grandfather including what had happened with Manvi and Deepu. Make him realize what kind of people the kashyaps were. At the same time, he needed to shield Manvi from everything, because, afterall she belonged to the same family. They needed to see Manvi for the person she really is. Would dadaji believe all this? Dadaji had never believed anything he ever told him. Rigthtly so. But today, he needed his grandfather to trust him.

He felt Manvi tighly hugging him and resting her head on his chest. He smiled looking down at her and kissed her forehead. "You alright baby? You have been through so much today." He asked her putting his hands around her.

"Ummm…I love you Virat. You are my hero, you saved my friend today." she said sleepily, closing her eyes and with a big smile on her lips.

"And as long as you are with me…" she opened her eyes and looked up at him with her chin on his chest "….I'll be alright" she smiled sweetly.

He looked at her innocent eyes which were filled with so much love mixed with exhaustion and relief. He passed his hands through her hair, pulling them back and kissed her lightly. She didn't even move an inch when he moved back to look at her. Realizing quickly how much they both needed each other, he pulled her in and quenched all her exhaustion and worries away with another passionate kiss.

"We will be alright." He said, smiling, more to himself than to Manvi. Manvi blushed and turned away.

For a minute he forgot about everything that was awaiting for him. He hugged her from behind with a small smile and asked her "Do you know how precious you are to me?"

"No. How precious??" Manvi giggled.

"You are my beautiful shining star. A star that holds my life inside. I will not be able to live without you darling. I love you to death." He spoke his heart nuzzling her neck. There was a small fear in him, a fear of losing her, fear of hurting her again. He would protect her with all he has in him, but what if he was not able to?

It didn't even take her a second to read his feelings. He was worried about something. He was scared and she felt his whole body tensed and very alert. His hands protectively held her tightly, as if shielding her from something. Nobody could take her away from him.

"Virat!!?? Kya huva?? Itna senti kyu ho rahe ho? I am right here baby and I am not going anywhere." She turned around, cupped his face and pulled it towards her gently.

"I know. Let's just forget everything for a few minutes." He hugged her tightly closing his eyes and feeling her warmth in his arms. She didn't move, she let him hug her for as long as he wanted. She knew that something was very wrong.

After a little bit, Viren and Virat along with Jeevika were leaving for Vadhera house. Manvi and Deepu had fallen asleep. Ajay and his mom assured them that they will be fine at their place.

As expected, everybody were sitting in the living room and waiting for them. Dadaji looked very angrily at Viren and Virat. "Have you guys lost all sense? Do you realize what you did today Virat?" he asked.

"Dadaji, before you say anything, I would like to talk with you privately. You need to listen to our side of the story." Virat said trying to be very calm.

"I agree. I would like to listen to that. Everybody here is family. Tell us all what made to do such a disrespectful thing? Do you know that you have broken into a high court chief justice house? You could be thrown into jail right now. It's only because Kashyap ji is a dear friend on mine, he had agreed to resolve this issue between ourselves."

"And Viren!!! I can understand Virat, but you too? Didn't you think about our family and our reputation before doing something like this? I fail, absolutely fail to understand your motives."

"Dadaji, its not bhai's fault, he did it for me. Please let me speak to you in your study for 15 min. I will explain everything in detail."

Dadaji nodded unwillingly and was walking towards his study but Deepu's grandfather stood up angrily and was about to leave. "Vadheraji, we came here to settle this as family friends, if you do not consider us as family or friends, I don't think there is point to sit here any longer. I will go through the regular route and get this thing sorted ASAP."

"Nahi Kashyap ji. Aaap hamare family bhi hain aur sab se ache dost bhi hain. Please aap ye kaise baate kar rahe hai. Hum yeh sab abhi sul jayenge." Dadaji made him sit back and looked at Virat for an explaination.

Virat was feeling extremely helpless. How could he reveal before the whole family about Manvi and Deepu. He looked at his mom and chachi and chachu and they all looked towards him with question mark faces. He looked towards his bhai who came and stood beside him putting his hand over his shoulder. He decided to help Virat out but explaining the situation.

Viren explained very briefly what Virat had told him earlier about Kashyap ji's son, Manvi's mama and how he had abused the both Manvi and Deepu when they were kids and how he was getting Deepu married off without her consent and the whole story where they all got him to own up to all his crimes on video.

After listening to the whole story, all the family members including dadaji were shocked. However, Kashyap ji stood up with a very serious face and started laughing loudly. Virat looked at him with raising anger. This person was also Manvi's grandfather. How could he be so heartless?

"As interesting this story is, who told you all these things that happened in my son's house so many years ago?" Deepu's grandfather asked Viren. Viren looked towards Virat.

"Why does it matter who told about it? The fact is that your son openly confessed it." Ajay interrupted the conversation, walking in with Manvi. Manvi had woken up and found Virat missing. She became very restless and forced Ajay to take her to Vadhera house.

"MANVI! What are you doing here?" Virat asked her angrily. This was the last thing he wanted. He knew what kind of things would be discussed there and he didn't want Manvi to hear any of it. He had waited until she fell asleep and slipped out silently.

I know i promised SP update today and I really wanted to get the family drama out of the way but I couldn't finish the whole thing. will update 20-ii in a day or too.
