I don't really think he's overrated. I haven't been following all these award shows lately but he was always one of the promising newcomers and I thought he was decent. And, Pani Da Rang is one of the best songs to come out of 2012..likes of Sonu Nigam etc always get awards..don't see the big deal in a newbie getting it for a pretty decent song.
