Chapter 3

Rathore picked Aisha and went to put her in the SUV to rest, while the remaining continued their work. Riya would steal glances at the SUV, to see if Aisha was up or not. After a few minutes, Arjun came forward with a purse.

"I found this purse, it was lying down near a bush. And i have checked the footsteps leading to this body, it seemed that she was running at the end before coming near this tree. And if i'm not wrong, only one person was following her from the footsteps, thankfully this park was closed down early and we didnt have too many joggers, so most clues about this murder is still intact."

Rathore took the purse and opened it, "Her name is Reema," Rathore said and looked at the SUV where Aisha was resting, "Full name Reema Kapoor!" It finally dawned on him why Aisha had fainted. He continued to check other papers and came across to a small picture, where he could see Aisha, Reema and a small boy. Rathore was a bit anxious, he didnt know how he'll deal with Aisha, and was debating where Aisha should be removed from this case considering her involvement with the victim. After collecting every clue they all made way to the SUV, and when Riya opened the back seat door, she found that Aisha was starting to wake up. She trembled on what she was going to say to Aisha.

Aisha opened her eyes, and found herself lying on the back seat of the SUV. "What am i doing here?" she thought to herself. That's when everything came back to her. She had just seen Reema's body. She closed her eyes, wishing that all these things were nothing but a nightmare. But then she heard someone opening the door, and one look at Riya's face told her everything. She couldn't hold it anymore, she started to sob uncontrollably. Riya's eyes filled up with tears, she was completely lost on how to comfort Aisha. She entered inside the SUV, put a hand on Aisha's head, guided Aisha's head on her shoulder, and both cried a lot, Aisha for her sister, and Riya feeling Aisha's pain. Outside four men stood and watched this helplessly, each had a different feeling about this.

Chotu and Shree also felt like hugging Riya and Aisha and cry with them, while Rathore felt so helpless, this type of situation made him realise that sometimes they couldn't save everyone, but he promised himself that he'll do everything in his power to catch that murderer. While Arjun was looking at Aisha, and his past flashed in front of his eyes. Who better than him to understand Aisha's pain at losing a loved one? After long time, Aisha had fallen asleep on Riya's shoulders due to crying incessantly, everyone entered in the SUV and they returned back to the office. Once there, Rathore asked Arjun and Riya to drive Aisha back home, since he doubted she'd be in a state to help them or even think in a conclusive way.

"But Rathore she stays alone! Will it be safe to leave her alone in this state?" Arjun said.

Riya was proud that Arjun was concerned about Aisha.

"Hmmm sahi to hein!" Rathore thought, "But where will we keep her?"

"Let her stay in the office itself, where everyone can have a look at her every five minutes," Arjun proposed.

"Yes Sir, and afterwards she can come and stay at my place, and if she refuses, i can pack my things and go to her place," Riya said very much worried about Aisha's mental state.

"Ok," Rathore agreed. Chotu picked Aisha up and carried her to an office sofa, where he put her. Riya took some covers from her locker covered her. Arjun and Rathore had already left for their cabin, while Shree, Chotu and Riya were left looking at Aisha.

"For the first time, i have seen her cry! This Aisha who has till now never showed any emotions, who has always sounded so strong, who has always been rude and arrogant towards us. I never thought to see her shattered like this, and if i had been given the choice, i sincerely never wanted to see her like this. She has received a very big shock," Shree said and his eyes filled up with tears.

Chotu put his hand on Shree's shoulder and said, "Yes i'm also shocked to see her like this! But we have to remain strong for her, and we owe her to catch that bas***d who did something like that to her sister!"

Riya was happy that in times of sorrow, everyone was here to share Aisha's pain, though she knew that Chotu and Shree were always afraid of her. She went and gave both of them a hug, "As long as we are together, we'd try our best to help Aisha," she said with a smile.

None of them were aware that Arjun and Rathore had been observing them.

"Arjun yeh sab to theek hein, par hum Aisha ko kaise sambhale gein?" Rathore said looking a bit worried.

"I'll deal with her," Arjun said.

"You? But you two are like cats and dogs!" Rathore answered back.

"Yep we are not friends, nor we even have a remote liking for each other, but we share the same feeling Rathore!"Arjun replied.

"Aur woh kya hein?" Rathore asked a bit sceptic.

"Dard ka rishta! What she's going through, i have already gone through it," Arjun said and left Rathore to ponder on Arjun's words.

Rathore looked at Arjun's disappearing form, and again he thought that "kash he could protect his friends and everyone from such things! He had become a police officer to save people's lives, to ensure everyone gets justice. Sometimes he felt discouraged when he saw people dying, sometimes he felt helpless like in Roshni's case, and today also" He also returned to his office but not before telling everyone to come for a meeting in some ten minutes to discuss about the case.

Hmmm i know i'm moving a bit slowly with the case, but what to do i had to show each and everyone's emotions when linked to this case.
