Honestly, the essay in itself isn't even that controversial or as "whiny" as it's been made out to be. There really are some very nice things he said in there...pity, only the controversial bits got highlighted and turned into this controversy. I guess he should have known better than to put it in there..or maybe just told NYT/Outlook that he didn't want to do this article. 🥱
