ok nyc update, but one question when madhuri will come to know she look like madhu ? and madhuri is falling for rk for sure. And i have experiencd physical abuse a lot in my school days, so it don't matters to me anymore. Hmm after next update, i hope for a strong and positive update

Prenote to readers: Warning: This next update does involve physical abuse, if you don't wish to read it, you are free to PM me and I will send out a PM just summarizing what happens in this update. I didn't go into too much detail with the abuse, as I didn't want it to be terrible. However it may bring up thoughts, images, etc. in your mind. EDIT: There's been a slight change in the story! Chapter Sixteen - The Phone Call

 

I spent a couple hours at her home, talking to her about random things.

She talked about clothes, her favourite movies, me, and basically everything on her mind.

I realized she found me to be her new socializing friend.

I listened to what she had to say, even though I was bored out of my mind at times.

When she finally came to a stop, I took my chance and told her I had to go.

She didn't stop me.

She waved me goodbye, after calling me 'Romeo' of course and then I left.

 

I had been at home for approximately 2 hours after I left her place, it was 8pm.

That's when I received a phone call.

It came up as Madhuri's name.

 

I thought she didn't have her phone anymore? I remember wondering to myself.

 

I picked up the phone.

 

"Hello?"

 

That's when I heard his voice...Raj...but he wasn't talking to me.

He was talking to someone else...

He was talking to Madhuri...

 

"You don't want your little superstar RK to know anything about this right? RIGHT?"

"N..."

 

She sounded scared. I pressed the phone to my ear to hear better.

 

"You don't want him to hear how I treat my little sister right?!"

 

She was silent.

 

"Then you go around sneaking him into our house?! The guy who nearly killed me...TWICE?!"

"No...I..."

"WHY'D YOU LET HIM INTO OUR HOUSE?"

"I didn't...h..."

"DON'T LIE TO ME!"

 

I heard her scream after the noise of a slap.

 

"RAJ!"

 

I screamed into the phone but clearly he was ignoring me, and I wasn't on speaker.

 

"RAJ! OPEN THE DOOR!"

 

I heard someone banging at a door in the background, the voices seemed like those of her parents.

 

"I saw him leave, I SAW HIM LEAVE. NOW WHAT'S GOING ON BETWEEN YOU TWO?"

"Noth...AH!"

 

She screamed again.

I heard continuous screaming for a minute.

 

I quickly grabbed the car keys and rushed to my car.

I began driving.

Thirty minutes...I had to cut that drive down to minimum ten.

I kept the phone at my ear.

 

"LET HER GO RAJ!"

 

I screamed but he ignored.

 

"RAJ OPEN THE DOOR, DON'T HURT HER!"

 

Her parents yelled in the background.

 

"Now, tell me, are you going to let him back here again?"

"I didn't le..."

"WRONG ANSWER."

 

She screamed again.

This time I heard him blow a few punches.

Tears filled my eyes.

 

"I'm coming Madhu...I'm coming."

 

I spoke into the phone even though he wasn't paying attention to me.

 

"Oh little sis, let me tell you a secret of your past."

"NO RAJ."

 

Her mother screamed in the back.

 

"SHUT UP MOM. Madhuri Sharma...hah. You never deserved that name. You never deserved this fame, my parents, the attention, NOTHING. You never deserved THIS LIFE. You know why? DO YOU KNOW WHY?"

"STOP PLEASE, OW...RAJ, LET ME GO...PL..."

 

I heard her whimpering; I figured he had her by the hair.

 

"BECAUSE YOU'RE ADOPTED. The blood running through your veins isn't of MY parents. It's of someone else's. They found you on the streets. That's right. You don't belong here you stupid girl. You never did. You belong on the streets!"

 

I dropped the phone in my lap as I heard him speaking.

 

Adopted?!

 

I quickly picked up the phone and put it to my ear again.

 

"No wonder why you let the guy who beat me up into this house. Do you know how it feels to get beat up? DO YOU?"

 

I heard her scream.

He hit her again.

And again.

And again...

 

"RK!"

 

She screamed my name. I felt so helpless.

 

"I'm coming Madhu! I'm coming! Nothing will happen to you!"

 

I knew she couldn't hear me, but I had to reassure myself.

 

There was silence on the other end of the phone for a moment.

Then I heard his evil chuckle...

He began speaking to me through the phone.

 

"Come save her...I'll be waiting."

 

The phone went silent before I could speak and the beeping of the hung up phone rang through my ears.
