Change is the need of the hour, say TV celebs on Republic Day

By TellychakkarTeam 26 Jan 2013 - 05:35

It was on 26 January 1950, that the Constitution of India came into force. And today, we are celebrating the 64th year of being Republic. But, in spite of population explosion, there are a lot more laws and regulations that need to be brought in place. For, had that been the case something like the Delhi gang rape case would have never happened or we wouldn't have read stories of rapes happening every other day in the papers. Moreover, we would have never been scared of our lawmakers more than the lawbreakers.

Keeping in mind the above mentioned incident, we got in touch with a few television celebrities to know their take, on the changes they envisage that our country needs to bring about in the coming years for a better society.

Observed Sargun Mehta aka Bulbul of Kyaa Hua Tera Vaada, "We need to inflict a lot of changes in our country. But, I do not expect much as corruption in our country is growing with each passing day. I think the government seriously needs to sit down and work towards getting better policies to avoid what happened in the last one year in our country."

Thanks for sharing! 😊

Agree with her, corruption is the biggest enemy of any country stopping it from progress. Wish the people at top for once would think about the betterment of country and not about themselves.

Thanks for sharing Dolly.😊

Agree with Sargun and the post above. If the people we put our trust in to give justice are the ones deliberately overlooking such situations, then no one can feel safe. Progress shouldn't limit itself to money or power, it should first be about improving peoples' lives, and I guess the first step to that is clean politics. Hope they finally decide to bring the much needed change in the system.
