My personal de-stress mantra is...
My personal de-stress mantra is indulging in a physical workout. Even though I'm a lazy guy, who I likes to wake up late in the mornings, I still make it a point to workout for four to five days a week. I do around 40 to 50 minutes ofweight training in the gym and besides that I jog for about an hour. I like to jog in the open. Exercising is the best channel for letting go of thestress and pent up frustration. Also, when you pursue a career in television, one needs to have a very good physique, so working out is a necessity.
In my leisure time...
I have never given yoga or meditation a serious shot probably because I'm intimidated by it. I don't think I could manage to perform such an activity. I absolutely love playing cricket. I'm a part of Boxy Boyz for over two years now, where me and my friends from the television industry indulge in our passion for playing cricket. I go to play cricket in the mornings, every alternate days. About two months back, I purchased a popular gaming console which has has me hooked to it, ever since. Since I'm addicted to gaming, every now and then, I invite my friends over to my place for some serious gaming sessions that go on till two in the morning. I make it a point to visit the spa for foot massages, at least once a week.
A cook or a foodie...
I'm a big foodie and love experimenting with different cuisines and restaurants. I especially love Italian cuisine. One of my hobbies is photography, I love taking photographs whenever I go travelling. I enjoy handling the camera, being behind the camera and taking pictures. I don't party out much. Now I prefer house parties than go to overcrowded clubs. I believe in spending quality time with my family and friends. If I'm not shooting, I'm usually spending time with my family.
Tips to de-stress
There are a lot of ups and downs, when you pursue a career in the television industry and so it gets very stressful. Therefore, one needs to balance it out by spending time doing activities that help one relax and enjoy on a regular basis. I'd like to advise others not to run behind money and career all the time, if it's there in your luck, you will get it automatically. What you need to do is be happy and share good times with your family and friends.
