Fondly known as Akash Raizada, brother of Arnav Singh Raizada aka Barun Sobti fromIss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Akshay Dogra is soon to be seen in Zee TV's hit drama Punar Vivah.

Buzz says that Akshay Dogra is to play the parallel lead to Gurmeet Choudhary aka Yash. His sudden emergence as the new driver for the family will strangely correspond with the kidnapping of Ansh, son of Yash and Aarti (Kratika Sengar).

Now there will be a twist in the tale and soon Akshay's character will be revealed as the illegitimate son of Suraj Pratap Scindia (Chetan Pandit). Speaking of the role, Akshay said, "I am playing a good guy with a bad attitude. I will start shooting from today. This is completely opposite to my earlier character of Akash in Iss Pyaar ko Kya Naam Doon. This is what got me excited. It is a parallel track to the male lead of the show Gurmeet Choudhary who I have immense regard for as an actor. There are several dimensions to this role. It has shades of grey. The mysterious dark secrets and his ulterior motives will unravel over a period of time. I hope the audience enjoys my performance".
