I think online friendship is not at all that bad, except that it eats up all your leisure time, but wholly depends on how you manage your time. It is always good to interact with other people to widen your knowledge about the world.

Some people might say that "We should never talk to strangers." , "I prefer meeting people in real life because online friendship degrades the meaning of friendship." Well...they are right in some way, but isn't that a bit childish? I mean, you do not degrade the meaning of friendship by having online friends because like friends in real life, you talk about your interests and daily happenings, the only difference is that you do not see each other. For me it is alright not to see the person because is does not matter as long as I know that the person I'm talking to also exists in real life, except that he/she lives in a different of the world.

i dont think you can trust them totally and if u trust them then it sld b after spending a lot of time chatting n all. but then no harm in taking calculated risks.

You will call someone a friend only when you are able to trust him/her enough. What I mean is no one would make a friend and continue their friendship if trust is not there at first place.

i dont think net friendship is so reliable yet few out of crowd may be real ones, but take sufficient time to trust, else when at the end of the day you will realize that friendship faded as the show due to which you met ended will hurt a lot eventually, but everything has got exceptions i got really true friends on net, so i wont say u must be preoccupied with the fact that all are bad, give a try, gud luck 👍🏼

It is the way you think about them. If you doubt about trusting them, don't. Just follow your instincts. I get what you mean. Where is the limit? You have to decide that yourself though. I see you as a friend though. Love you G.

How safe are you being friends with a girl you've known since kindergarten and she's known for being a bitch, ever since? Would you trust her with your secrets? How about that guy who acts like a frigging smarty-pants, would you not fear being judged by him?

A friend is anybody who doesn't judge you, mostly. Friendship is reflexive and sans inhibitions. If you know someone you can be like that around, they are a friend.

We got jack squat safety, anyway. On the internet or otherwise.

Over the time i have spent there i have gained a lot of friends. But i cannot help thinking whether we can term them as friends,,Should we trust them enough to give our email ID's and what not?

And do you agree with one part of this world who say that it is wrong to make friends online as it is not "Safe"?

Debate away ..:)

Well it depends.

I know we all have had those moments where we hesitate to share our personal information with someone we have just met over the internet...but think about it this way

when we sell something online or shop online, at that time we are also giving our personal information what is the guarantee that that is safe?
that also applies to business cards and what not.

But i see that it is very natural to fear whether it is safe or not
i sued to think that too in the beginning, when i first joined😆
