Oops! She did it again By: Shaheen Parkar October 18, 2006 Saumya Tandon and Gaurav Chopraa in Aisa Des Hai (this picture is from the first promo about samy/rusty) While shooting for a special sequence for Aisa Des Hai Mera in Palghar, actress Saumya Tandon got injured again. She fell on the railway tracks and suffered deep bruises on her legs, requiring immediate medical attention. This episode of the Sony daily was shot three days ago and will air tonight. Rusty on the railway Says Saumya, who plays Rusty on the show, "My legs were aching as there was this scene where I had to run continuously on the railway tracks to save my husband Samay (Gaurav Chopraa). As it is I was unwell and we had been shooting in Madh Island earlier. There was no electricity there and due to the heat it was very tiring and unbearable. At the Palghar shoot, I had to run after Samay who is tying to commit suicide. There were boulders all around and I fell on them. I was bleeding but managed to complete the scenes." As the shoot was in the wilderness, the actress could seek medical attention only after she reached Mumbai. Aisa producer Manish Goswami wanted to replicate a true-to-life scenario for the shoot and pencilled in on Palghar. "Despite her injury, Saumya continued to shoot," says Goswami. Main bhi Aamir This special scene was to showcase Samay's dilemma, who is driven to suicide after he discovers he is suffering from a brain tumour. Saumya discovers his suicide note and rushes to rescue him, just as he is about to throw himself in front of a running train. Says Chopraa, "It was a special shoot for the 100th episode of Aisa. I did the a stunt similar to the scene that Aamir Khan attempted in Ghulam. The location was real, the train was real and even the hot sun was real!" Incidentally, this is the second injury for Saumya. In August, she was shooting at Kamalistan Studios and a scene required her to run down a flight of stairs. Saumya slipped and came crashing down. Pavan, Kirron in Aisa Pavan Malhotra( ye to koi tapori dikhta hai 👎🏼) Pavan Malhotra and Kirron Kher are slated to enter the Sony daily Aisa Des Hai Mera. They will be seen as Samay's (Gaurav Chopraa) parents. Malhotra makes his entry on Thursday and Kher next week. Interestingly, Malhotra returns to the small screen after a hiatus. He was last seen in the SaharaOne show Karishma — The Miracles of Destiny while Kirron Kher(she is as stylish as her son samay 👍🏼) Kher featured in the SaharaOne drama Prratima. Says Malhotra, "I've acted in Manish Goswami's Kahan Se Kahan Tak. So when I got a call from him I did not think twice. It is an interesting role." Malhotra, who played Tiger Memon in Anurag Kashyap's Black Friday, plays Narang in Farhan Akhtar's Don.
