ASR way of making di realise that she is important and not less than anybody just because of a disability. ASR doing the job of a parent here. Though he is younger to di. He considers himself the big brother who will guard little sis till death.

IPK had special emphasis on sibling relationships. It wasn't just the lover's love that was the attraction in IPk, audience loved the siblings closeness.. di-arnav, payal-khushi, arnav-akash. 👏

" hey devi maiyya, ye har subha hame vo rakshas ka sapna kyo aatha hai " Khushi, eager to go to ASR's office. She is absolutely disappointed at being told that she has already given her resignation and needn't go. The sad bk ground music and khushi's sad toned self thought "ha ame ab vo Arnav Singh Raizada ki shakal dhekne ki koyi zaroorath nahi hai." 😭 showed the girl's state of mind. She is feeling for her rakshas. She felt bad at snapping at him the day before. She felt sad as she will now have no reason to meet him : ))) Mere isaabh se Khushi ki dhadkane abhi se tej hone lage hai !! :)) 😆

calendar ke photographs, ASR gets lost in khushi's photos. He is definitely attracted to her but she has also managed to make an entrance into his heart .. the guy is unable to accept the fact :)

Mighty ASR ko kisi ladki se farak nahi padtha ! lekin ye ladki koyi aam ladki thodi na hai !! Dheere dheere ASR ki dil me basjayegi !! His constant denial and irritation whenever khushi is mentioned.. his annoyance at not being able to forget her. Alls signs of love under construction :))

Loved this! Always was a treat to watch buaji's bindaas dialogues. A stern yet jovial big lady. Knows how to get things done, never frightened of her social status !! Her retorts to mami's taunts later on, proved that fact.

That is what is special with IPK. The characters were not just Arnav and khushi. There were memorable special characters like mamiji, buaji, NK whose one liners have made a place in people's heart.

A special mention to Sana Khan who potrayed La's character. I loved la's self motivating convo.

" ok la, tum jo kar rahi ho, ASR ke liye kar rahi ho. Aur ye vrath tho sirf dieting ki jaise hi hogi. ye dhin butter ki thara smoothly nikal jayega. butter? oh no! khane ke bhare math soch, lav. dress! dress ke bhare me socho.. nani ko impress karna padega. kya pehanu..yes! tomato red.. tomato ye vrath tho muje maarhi daalega !!!! "

SK fit La's role to the 'T'. Her accent, her look, her background of modelling etc., added positively to la's character. I don't know why.. I never hated La.. even though she was bound to come in between Arnav and Khushi !!!

Questions: Did buaji show a hint of doubt about shyam's character ?

Why does Shyam call Anjali ' Rani sahibha"? I never got this solved !! Is he trying to act as if he is giving her a lot of importance ? I always felt it was too formal a way of addressing someone whom you supposedly love !

Brilliant all in purple, and loved all in Blue, funny in blue/green and wanted to ask your thoughts on green. why did he pull the strings? frankly after watching the whole series, i watch that scene and feel like its completely out of his character. i feel like they weren't sure how dark they wanted him to go at that point. He was "ruthless" but he knew right from wrong and his boundaries. I don 't think he would've have pulled the strings, everything else...yes that was ASR. just want another POV :) you always have a fresh look on things thanks!

busy weekend? hope it's fun busy though. thanks so much for your beautiful comment. about that question, well we were discussing this just a couple of days ago. ripping a part of her garment, so damn out of control. but was it out of character?

my thought: he was in an intensely vulnerable state of mind actually the first time we met him. he was coming back to lucknow to take back what was his. but in the way of the jungle, where might is right. for he had been given no choice. his right as son was taken away by a feckless father. his right to his home, usurped by an opportunist uncle. 11 years of suffering the consequences and doing all to overcome them. turning into a man behind a thick impenetrable wall. being courageous, himmat dihai maine, and becoming an adult practically overnight shouldering all responsibilities of sister, home, later grandmother and family. yet, inside there was always that boy with a scream truncated. today he'd heard it standing right before where it had left his being the first time, that terrible day.

he comes and buys the place. controlled, cool, focusing on revenge. nothing else.

and all that vulnerability sits inside, no release for it. his sister speaks of his being tied to the past and the effect it has on him. on cue he says of course it doesn't bother him, this was a business decision.

at the fashion show, we see him closing his eyes, as though fatigued deeply. possibly he is. imagine the pent up feelings of sheesh mahal. and the churning of it all this day. it's an important event for him, yet he is cutting out of it.

then she arrives and falls into his arms. a jerk back to the present. those lips so close. who is this? what is happening. his show is ruined. anger steps in, possibly the only response in this situation. and his familiar defence.

the whole thing of who sent you here gets going. all the happenings of the day still buried deep.

then their interaction, her mention of jiji's wedding, it will break, his scathing insult: let it, girls like you, what difference does it make, one goes, you'll find the next. and her hurt upset retort: kya bakwaas kar rahen hai aap? aap kuch bhi bole jaa rahen hain, and who are you, after me for so long, what if someone spoke like this of your family, what if it were your sister, what if people spoke of her like this... boliye! hai koi jawab?"

at the mention of his sister, whose wedding had fallen apart, on the same day his mother had killed herself, all memories rushing back, end of day, he's tired, angry, dimaag not in full operation, he's beginning to come apart, but he stands there just staring, fire growing in eyes.


she says: badtamizi bhi ki bhi had hoti hai, hat jaiye hamare raastey se. humey jaaney dijiye.

and she begins to walk away.

think he snapped at that "badtameezi."

it happened once much later too. he'd walked right away from his father and his "galat" position in life, refusing to be tainted by it in the slightest. being "sahi" is paramount. he possibly had a fear that there may be something of his dad in him asserted by genes and he struggled to free himself. badtameez was not what he wanted to be associated with. ever. especially in relation to women.

yet, such is character, he had that anger, a trait reminiscent of his father if we take naniji's words into account. his nostrils had just flared a bit. he was at the edge. all the feelings of the whole day. not letting emotion get the better of him. now this.

with that peremptory get out of my way as she walks away, he loses it, pulls her back: badtamizi toh maine abhi shure bhi nahin ki hai.

all control so strictly imposed lost.
and he transgressed. with another snapping.

tumhe jawab chahiye na? ye loh.

after that, he stood. staring with unseeing eyes. when she loosened her hair and covered her exposed back, looked for a second as though something registered. and he just stood, lost in a world that no one was given access to. she walked away. this time he didn't resist.


he certainly was not himself at the moment. now the more i see it the more i sense this. all the anguish of sheesh mahal. his mother's death, betrayal, suicide, hell, all the pain was in his mind today. she became unfortunately the one that got him to touch it all today, with that question about his sister.

i don't know if what i say is valid. these are just interpretations. 😳

La was a beautiful character, Indi. One can see she that she lived life the way she wanted,very much like ASR. A modern woman who lived alone, having a modern take on relationships . She reminds me of Veronica in Archies :)) A girl who is a bit of a snob but actually is good at heart :) Once pre-assumptions are cleared, she will love that person to heart. Just like it happened with khushi. Initially she was snobbish and had no trust in khushi's abilities but once she got to know of khushi's goodness and purity of thought, she gave in. She embraced her as a friend and acknowledged her opinions. And in the end when she got to know that Arnav and khushi are in love, she didn't harbor any hard feelings.

But one thing I am sure is that she did have feelings for Arnav. She wanted to marry him truly. Why would a modern girl suddenly accept to change into a traditional girl . I feel she did this to be accepted by nani and nothing else. I surely hope so. I don't like the idea that a girl who follows indian tradition and style is an ideal girl and otherwise not !! I hope that is not the message that SP tried to tell us !

Indeed She is LITTLE ASR herself.IPK is not only their story but beyond that.LOVE among each and every character is so unique and at different level "HATKE HAI" not the way we imagine. Name is everything in anyone's life and he knows the pain associated with it as he left his name and took his mother's proudly I don't think so ,in anger and rage yes at the age of 14 and there must be a cause of it which we don't know b/c I don't go by only GARIMA the reason for it.Anyway good to be back ,missed u guys.
