Actors get too much credit: Ranbir Kapoor

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor says a lot of people help an actor in delivering a powerful performance but they remain unsung, while the actors walk away with all the accolades.

"Actors get too much credit. I am sitting here talking about acting, but there is so much that goes behind us. There is a director, writers, cinematographer, lighting, makeup, background music," Ranbir said during a conversation withAnupam Kher at the latter's acting school.

Ranbir himself got oodles of accolades for playing deaf and mute fun loving guy in "Barfi!", which also won him the best actor award.

"(While shooting) I can just sit and the camera moves towards me and there is a sad music playing, that can portray so many emotions, and the audience thinks, 'Wow what a performance he has given'. But at the same time you have that same shot with some happy music playing and audience will say he is internalising his happiness," he said.

Touted as next big thing in Bollywood, Ranbir, 30, is shooting for his new movie " Besharam" with director Abhinav Kashyap.

So very true...I think that is one the reasons I have always rated people who are known for comedy roles than serious emotion...

What abhishek did in Sarkar is much easier than what Abhishek did in say Dostana...

but psuedo intelligent people who like to think they are intelligent...say acting in serious roles is much better in a desperate attempt to sound intelligent..

I remember Kamal hassan once said...if you can make people sad while doing a slap stick comedy in the same scene...you are an amazing actor !!

Man he's right and I endorse his words. People behind the camera do not get much credit but they sure get the blame if the movie fails

I think directors suffers a lot if movie fails...but camera man and everybody usually move on to the next film irrespective of the results of the movie as long as their craft is done well...

actor depends if he is a star or not...

^ Yeah if a movie works, actors get the credit. If it bombs, shoot the director

but recently there is a good change...directors are becoming a brand themselves..where there movie sells decently irrespecticve of stars...ofcourse if there are stars it will do well...

Ramu had it then...where stars or not...Ramu movie was a Ramu movie

now..anurag ,vishal.,bhandarkar...bunch of a new directors seem to be devloping...
