Ranjeet locks Prateeksha's cupboard and steals the key. Asavari switches the saree Gauri had bought for Prateeksha with a coloured saree. The ladies who attend Haldi Kumkum in the Bhonsle house condemn Prateeksha for wearing a coloured saree even though she is a widow. Gauri defends Prateeksha. She realises that Asavari plans to humiliate Prateeksha in front of the guests. Asavari blames Prateeksha for the chilli powder in the thali. Nandita confesses that she had made the ladoo, not Prateeksha.
