Episode 169 Discussion: 14th Jan 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.

Episode 169 Discussion - EOD Summary

Events of the Episode

Madhu who has listened to what was being discussed between RK and Dipali, that she had topped in the exam taken by RK about whether Madhu loves RK or Rishabh and how she is ready to leave everything behind...is shocked to know that Rishabh tested her. love. While Dips smirks at her win, Madhu is seething in anger and pain at this. She gives him her piece of mind telling him that he is wrong to test her or anyone as he is no judge of anyone. She goes on to say that he holds grudges unnecessarily against his parents when they did not abandon him but had to do what they had to do for their own tight spot situations. He needs to accept and move on. She ends her lecture saying, how can she now trust him that he loves her.
RK unable to answer her, ashamed of causing hurt to her, he leaves the house, drives away. He is upset and keeps thinking of how Madhu was upset and what she all said, including things about his mother.
At night when wind is blowing, the photo frame with Madhu and RK's pic falls down in Padmini's room. She gets nervous, but Shamsher comes and comforts her saying only frame is broken, the photo is still intact and good and he can get it fixed tomorrow.
In the wee hours Radhaji goes to temple for her ex-husband Mohan Kundra's anniversary. She prays to God and thanks him that person such as Mohan Kundra had been able to spend some time with RK as his father. And these days, her heart indicates to her that her son may again call her "maa". Then she thanks to Ganesha that all this has been possible because of Madhu who came into Rishu's life. She asks Bappa to take care of them.
RK who is driving mad, meets with an accident. Episode ends.

Madhu basically showed RK he has a pessimistic view of the world. The energy you give off is the energy you attract back. He were to open his eyes he had a lot of love his father loved him but was weak. His mother loved him but just made the wrong decision out of insecurity. Madhu's love never needed testing but RK's pessimism just got the best of him. Felt bad for both Rishbala today. I hardly doubt Dips will go away. She still has her kitchen politics left to keep her occupied.

Very gripping Episode high on emotional angst.

Three things to say

1) Lets see what else Madhu will realize. She was like "Dil ki saari bhadaas nikaal di" with all her anger, when she was the one who kept sacrificing or making space for RK. She was the one who allowed "Pushed to Wall" to happen. And her logic was ...not that its my nature...when people love the other, they tend to give themselves away...This is 100% true...I agree. But at the same time, Madhu should know, the man allows her to yell at him. Does Madhu get the same attention from others ? As in will she be able to yell at Trishna like this ? What will she call that ? She calls him judge and now she asks him, "do you think you are a judge?" Will the Hum Hai Deewana song lyrics for her change now ? Hope sitting there she too realizes how she wants to take this relationship forward...a lot of shifting in the relationship just happened and both husband and wife have to realize something out of it.

Well, I happy at least Madhu angrily said without taking Dips name that "how could RK test her at her behest when he hates her and she has deceived him." That must have put him to shame. It should. I was so angry at that illogical thing from RK in the first place.

And Take home for RK...Don't take Madhu's words at face value from now on...She might say, I did all that to please you, not that I like it, I played along because I love you that much.

I said the same thing to my husband in one of our emotional confrontations, he took my class and said, why would I do that and not be honest and say I can't play along? Why would I do something that might be just forcing my heart on something...He said lets discuss love later...but first things first that ... he cares that I need to be honest and not do anything that I might regret later or lash out like this. May be all women make this terrible mistake of accomodating and adjusting and giving in too much, can't help it. It was a painful moment for me. My heart broke too at his hardness...there were lot of reasons... and things did change in paradigm manner...but then one thing one was clear to me...I cannot or should not play along today if tomorrow I will retreat when it becomes too much. Brutal truth...love is there or love is not there...ultimately its us who make or break the relationship and relationship goes on...break and fixing keeps on going on when you want to go on...you make space for the other anyways...

2) Second thing...Drinking now when driving that mad did not make sense at all. RK was so disturbed, he was in a state to just drive and not take a bottle to drink to forget...he needed to think...that part was wrongly portrayed. Even drunkards know when they have to drink... !!!!

The obvious clunk had to be there that it has to be Mohan Kundra's death anniversary and perhaps RK also gets to go to same temple. Or am I thinking wrong.

3) Third thing ...well wishes...liked that Padmini and Shamsher had better Pic in the photoframe of RK and Madhu at their home. And the parents concerns and loving words soothed me. Even Radha asking about their well being with Ganesha was happy to see. Its like receiving your mom's call the next day and asking "is everything all right?" 😊

i'm watching television since the advent of satellite programming , must say i never came across an episode better scripted than this..whenever therez a misunderstanding b/w the lead couple, it's built up in a way that we have argument for both of them but here, it was a clean sweep by Madhu...just today , bec. RK didn't speak at all (thanks to CV's for that) ..today whoever will say that RK was right is wrong...although he was right frm his POV but Madhu caught his nerve succesfully ..now we can't say she doesn't understand RK..she does a lot more than she shows...she understood the reason for him doing so is sufficient proof...

first problem, WHY the test..she was bang on ! all these months, she cud not win his trust ??

two, WHY did he do it on Dipali's insistence? the person he hates the most. absolutely..it's Dips or any tom dick harry, how does it matter? when the idea of testing itself was wrong...

WHY this pessimistic thinking that he got only dhokha in his life hence he should test Madhu also?? basically uske saath dhokha nahi hua, USKO dhokha hua tha 😆 it was as simple as that...i remember a quote "complicated problems usually have simple solutions" ..so true na? i joined this art of living session where this guy narrated a beautiful story...a disciple asked his guru "what will make me happy??" n guru asked him to close his eyes and think of all those people who hurted him and he cud not forgive him...he did that..his guru asked him "how many people came to your mind", he said "10 people" ..guru asked him to forgive each one of them ..tht guy said that he can forgive 9 but not that one person who he hates the most...the guru said "don't forgive those 9 people and forgive that 1 person and you will be happy" !! if RK is seeking solace, he will have to forgive Radha...he will have to set his perspective straight otherwise he'll never be happy with Madhu...glad he understood that and before making upto Madhu, he came to Radha and ended years of bitterness...👏

i wish Madhu included Dips here ..why was she left out? i did feel bad for Radha , unintentionally, she hurted her son but she never stopped loving him and care for him...my gut feeling says that she will emerge as one strong character in future..she could not become a good mother for RK bec. RK never let her exercise that right on him...

i thought this is not the right time to address Radha's issue but kudos to CV's, they twisted the story this way ke TODAY was the perfect timing...if it was any other day, RK wouldn't have paid attention...he did it today bec. he was ONLY LISTENING, he was full of guilt..Madhu really took out that poison from his mind 👏

i loved it so much when she said that she loved him in totality, tolerating his tantrums and moods n never questioned his love, when he hardly gave her a reason to even like him...she went a bit overboard with it..when was the last time RK insulted her? 😕 and when did she exactly fall in love with him to forgive all his shortcomings and only love him?? did she love him when he was shot? did she love him after the studio incident? did she love him AFTER he supported her against his family? or did she fall in love with him when she came to know tht he forgave Malik much before his truth was out, only for Madhu's sake?

"when did pyar ka test start and when did it end?" his confession was a test? timepass? bec. he married her for revenge? she was bound to think that way bec. i already said it ke when trust breaks, it breaks completely...all the sach n jhoot is merged into one..sach bhi jhoot ho jaata hai and vice versa...but she will get over it with time...

why can't they get a good frame for these 2? nyways, it was gr8 to see both the parents praying for their children..their prayers will be answered Radha's scene was also good...

Madhu will prolly leave for her maayka before RK returns...good for her and RK...the agnipareeksha which he took, he will have to give the same..burn in tht fire n come out as a winner...dun worry baby, biwi running to maayka is no big deal...

what's the solution to their problem now? only one...getting married...n now i foresee it happening very soon 🥳 ab Madhu ka hathyaar RK ke paas jo hai...RADHA 😆 perhaps that's the solution to Dips problem also...

forgot to mention the driving scene..i dun support drink and drive but i loved VD in it...he enacts these scenes to perfection , just love them 👏

Today's episode belonged to Madhu all the way. Emotionally charged and driving some hard core home truths to RK.

Madhu you were astounding. In the moment of extreme distress, heartbreak to you, you are still thinking of RK. You actually did him a favor. Tumhare pyaar mein bhi RK ka fayda hai aur tumhari narajgi mein bhi. What a lucky man you are RK to have Madhu as your biwi, do you realize that? You are areally smart Madhu to take this opportunity to give one more final shot for fixing ma-beta relationship. How do you manage that? You are not a weak bechari abla nari by any stretch of imagination. Confrontation is always better than avoidance. You took your chance to make him see that if didn't do anything good in his life, life did not do anything good for him. You can only take out what you put in first.Ultimately it is he who is responsible to be at the helm of his own destiny. Can't blame others.

I am surprised that Madhu has the presence of mind to realize that her test started with the love confession. I am happy that she asked a very logical question ki how will she ever trust him again when he says he loves her. How indeed? When she voices about his mother's plight, he is completely chagrined. He has no answer to any of her questions. So what does he do? It is he who leaves the room and drives away while drinking alcohol. Poor Madhu. She is shattered, heartbroken, anguished. She cannot believe that after all that she did for him, he made her feel like a failure in her own eyes. That is one horrible feeling. Great dialogue by the way.

Another great dialogue about loving everything associated with him only because she is in love with him, not because it is her nature.

RK abhi boond se gayi woh haud se kaise wapas laoge?
