MY CHILDHOOD LOVE

PROLOGUE
It was a cold night ... A seventeen year old girl sat on her bed cuddling her warm blanket with her laptop open. She was checking her Facebook account and like every other day from the past one year she was searching for her best friend. She typed 'ARNAV MALIK' on the Facebook search tab and clicked search. But again like the past one year it showed 'No Results'.
She had joined Facebook one year ago just to get in contact with him. She had heard her Mom talking to her Dad about Facebook and how her Mom had found her school and college friends on Facebook. But she was not as lucky as her Mom.
A tear trickled down from her hazel brown eyes ... "Will I ever be able see him again? Will I ever be able to talk to him again?" These were the same questions that crossed her mind when she had left him, left her home and left India four years ago. She never got answers for those questions then and even now she has not found any answers.
She closed her laptop and retired for that day with a hope of finding him ... Her Childhood Friend.
On the other side of the world a boy sat on his study table drinking black coffee with his laptop open. He was also checking his Facebook account. He was not a socialiser so he was never into social networks. But when his sister told him that he might find his best friend in Facebook he made an account in it six months ago.
He typed 'KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA' in the search tab and like every other time the results came up with his best friend's profile. But he never sent her a friend request ... he was sacred. Whenever he used to point the cursor on the 'Send A Request' tab, a question always crossed his mind ... "What if she does not remember me?" He immediately moves the cursor and signs out from Facebook.
If she would have ever made any sign of remembering him even if it once then he would have definitely sent her a request. But she never did ... she never contacted him after she had left him, her home and India four years ago.
He shut his laptop down and took his basketball kit and went to his basketball court hoping of talking to her soon ... His Childhood Friend.
