The grand entrance

"Case: 453. Commonwealth vs. Madhubala Kundra. Charges: murder in the first degree under section 302 IPC-Dhara 302-Dafa 302. How does the defendant plead?"

"Not guilty, my Lord".

"Are you serious? You haven't even met the girl", youang Kundra whispered to her wife as they rushed into the court room.

"Please take your seat with rest of the public and let me do my job".

"So you know, I do not support you helping murderers". He put in a last word before finding a location in wide view of the cameras.

"Madhubala, meet Madhubala", a teary eyed woman exchanged a look with a sympathetic attorney.

"Order, order. Only speak when assigned turns. On what grounds does the defendant plead not guilty?"

"On grounds of self defence my lord. We would also like to request for bail".

"Does the prosecution oppose bail?"

"No, my lord".

"Bail granted at a bond of 3 Crores. Trial begins two weeks from now. Until then".

"My lord, we would like to request a trial without cameras or a court audience".

"Next time, let me finish Ms. Kundra. Motion granted. Court adjourned until next hearing".

"Ms. Madhubala, I would like a word with you please. Shall we head to your estate?" Her reflection quietly nodded at Madhu.

Arm in arm, the movie couple guarded each other from the glare of the camera flashes. A million microphones pointed their way as young Kundra protected the convoy with his witty comments.

"Rishabh Kundra, CEO Kundra Inc. Kundra Inc's new TV in stores today. Kundra Inc. always there for you".

"Aadha paagal hai, chief", Bittuji pointed his handy cellular device at the Kundra tackling reporters.

"Shameless advertising. This is how he dissolves stressful situations. Please do not say a word to the press". Madhu defended her husband. "Please do not insult my husband in my presence. Thank you", she shot down the chubby man who was looking to do just the same, protect his family.

Madhu & Madhubala milan

"How would you like to be addressed?" Madhu held Madhubala's hand.

"Not a murderer".

A stray tear fell down her left cheek. She was not a killer, not a monster, she was anything but. She did this to protect her husband. She deserved to be punished, she killed her father. Opposing views battered her conscience as he looked intently at her attorney, a younger version of her own.

"I killed him. I don't know why, I no evil. His mission in life was turn me dark he succeed. Turn me fair. Save me".

"I will", she took Madhubala's hand in hers.

"Twins reunited I see", a zealous Kundra jumped on the couch between the two Madhubalas.

"How did you get here?"

"I relayed to secretary that I had urgent matters to discuss with my wife and he let me. I walked up a flight of stairs, two doors to the right and here I am". He proceeded to let his arms fling around until they settled on the shoulders of the ladies seated to his left and right.

"I married an ass. I am sorry", Madhu faked a smile as he pulled her husband aside to talk. "Here are the keys to play with. Sit in corner with the babysitter. I will see to it that you never get free time until I am done with this trial".

"I do not support you protecting murderers", Rishabh munched on some candy he stole earlier.

"Bittuji, please take this man away", she recovered the stolen confectionary.

"Chaliye Mr. Rishabh Kundra. Kya pata tha duniya mein ek naam vale itne alag insaan bhi hote hain. Kahan mere chief aur kahan aap. Thodi see bhi insaaniyat nahi hai".

"Meine nahi maara apne baap ko", Kundra made a cynical remark that left Madhubala in tears.

"I am so sorry. I shouldn't have let him come in. I believe you 100%. You did nothing wrong".

"He correct. I kill a man. Take human life".

"If you had not killed him, he would have killed you. Don't worry, I will make sure you stay with your family. Now, what movie shall we watch tonight?"

RK vs. RK

"Look Mr. Kundra, I have tolerated your insanity in the courtroom because I did not want violence in front of my wife. But, jis vakt mein Madhubala ki nazaron se door ho jata hoon, usi vakt mera baapu Gandhi ka avatar bhi choomantar. Meri biwi ke khilaaf ek bhi shabd mein bardash nahi karoonga. Use tumhare saamne begunaah sabit karne ka mujhe koyi shonk nahi. Tum apna kaam karo aur meri biwi se koson door raho, samjhe?"

R.K. had pinned Rishabh to the wall with his head hovering over his captive's. "Have I made myself clear?"

"Transparent", Rishabh broke a sweat and straightened RK's collar. "I must convey to you that Madhu, my wife that is, not yours. I wouldn't dare".

"Get to the point".

"Yes, Madhu does not fare well with the media in high profile cases. She calls me in to b e the center of distraction. Take the heat away from her".

"I said stay away".

"Fine, without my jokes, the news people will torture Madhubala, yours that is. Mine can handle it".

"Stay 100 feet away from her and no noise above 30 decibels or I put in a restraining order".

"How can you do that? I have to get in bed with", he received a blow to his face. "Damn, that hurt. I meant my wife".

"I know. This will help you remember to keep your private dealings private".

The Kundra residence

"Have I ever questioned your ruthless business mergers? Your shrewd tactics to crush your opponents?"

"You have silently protested".

"I have not insulted your clients nor have I vocalized my concerns to your delegates".

"Your point is?"

"If you want to get with me, you've got to keep your foot out of my clients' business. As for the circumstances of the alleged crime or details of that nature, my hands are tied by attorney client privilege".

"You tend to use big words to imply authority".

"You copy me".

"You like him, don't you?"

"Big fan. He makes you nervous".

"Correction, he makes me shit in my pants. Goddamn, he is fine".

"There is a reason I have taken this case. You have got to believe in me".

"You want these peeps to become godparents to our babies".

"If the decision were entirely up to me, yes".

"Consider it done as long as I don't have to see this douchebag", a movie star entered their humble residence.

"RK sir. Please come in".

"Don't worry. I only heard the godparents part", RK scoffed seeing the terrified faces of the young couple.

"How can I help you today?"

"She is upset. Says she will only talk to you".

A/N: I am aware that this update focuses more on the guest couple. However, I promise to bring the spotlight back on the originals soon. Bare with me.

Also, the above mentioned court procedures come from my limited knowledge of the Indian Constitution. Feel free to add to my knowledge base if you find any limitations.

LOL RK versus Rishab very very interesting smart move!👍🏼 I am biased towards the younger RK well the younger couple in general, they stole my heart because I loveee Set Fire to Rain as you know very well! lol but this update was great, I liked how it was played out. hehe it would be adorable to see the older couple be godparents to younger couple's children.

I loved the action between the two RK's as well, hope to see this relationship turn into a love/hate relationship in the future😃. Hopefully? Now I guess we wait to see how the trial goes, I am really excited to see our young, awesome, witty lawyer Madhu take on this case with the support of(hopefully support in the future for this case) her one and only young, hilarious, equally witty RK!

I am foreign to the legal jargon, especially when it comes to Commonwealth nations. God, so much ground work. I will try and keep it close to reality.😊
