Since Exotic takes place in an alternate universe, it gives no indication of whether or not the outcome will be the same in Set Fire to the Rain. Hope that helps. This means the issues of Madhu dealing with Malik and such will be resolved in the story as originally planned. Truth is, I didn't want to bring in any 'ol lawyer to help Russian Madhubala.
