Ranbir Upset With Rumours Of Affair With Katrina

MUMBAI: It is true that stardom comes with a price, and in most cases the price is privacy. Bollywood heart-throb Ranbir Kapoor is having a tough time dealing with the rumours, while Katrina Kaif has mastered the technique, with silence as her weapon.

The ruling stars, Kapoor and Kaif were allegedly dating after their 2009 film Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani'. Time passed and the rumours faded.

Now in the end of 2012, the buzz re-surfaced when fans apparently spotted the couple roaming the streets of New York for New Year, hand-in-hand and cuddling.

Reacting to reports of being spotted with Katrina Kaif in the Big Apple, the visibly upset star Ranbir says, "There is so much speculation about what happens in an actor's life, and it's so unfair. How much can one clarify and how much can one deny? It just becomes a cycle. I am here to do good work and talk about films. I'd rather just stick to that."

Fresh in from the grapevine is that filmmaker Zoya Akhtar has approached the duo Ranbir and Katrina for a film.

Ranbir though vehemently denies the rumours and says that he is currently only working on Ayan Mukerji's 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' and Abhinav Kashyap's 'Besharam'.

"It is completely false news. Zoya's film hasn't been finalised yet. She's not even formally offered me the film. We meet as friends and she keeps saying that she's writing something. I guess I can only talk about it once she finalises everything," confirms Kapoor.

As of now, Ranbir is gearing up to share the stage with his mother, Neetu Kapoor, at the 'Colors Screen Awards'. They will perform to classic numbers, 'Parda hai parda' and 'Ek main aur ek tu' marking the Indian Film Industry's centenary year. Ranbir, who's apparently quite the 'mama's boy' shares, "She is nervous. We haven't started rehearsing for the event yet".
