Khushi's pulled off the covers and turned to face the window; crinkling her nose as the sun rays shot lit up her pale face. Suddenly she brought her hands to her back and realized her zip was open and her mind ran back to the events of the night before.

Rolling onto her other side she saw the bed empty.

"Arnav" she thought to herself, and without giving it a second thought she started towards his room.

Pushing open the door she didn't hesitate to walk right in.

"Arnav" she called out.

Arnav stood in the center of the room in his towel, about to put on his shirt. He turned around to see Khushi's moist eyes and was a bit startled.

He paced up to her and wiped off the tear with the back of his hand.

"Sorry" she said embarrassed and turned to walk away. Except Arnav grabbed her wrist and pulled her back against his chest.

He placed a kiss on her shoulder and moved closer to Khushi's ear.

"You don't have to be sorry Khushi". Causing Khushi to smile while blushing.

He then moved his hand down to the zip of her dress and pulled it up.

He then released her hand and picked up his shirt.

"Khushi I am going to be out today, I have some work I had to do" he said to Khushi.

"I have given everything you had asked for" Arnav said handing over the file and the cassette to the man in the caf.

"Just give me the money and don't contact me again"

"Not so fast Arnav, you still have some work to finish"

"And what if I say refuse"

"Don't make this hard for the both of us Mr.Raizada, you signed up to take your revenge and for a good price. Now you finish our work or else'"

"Or else what?"

"Well we hear of you are getting rather cozy with the Ms.Gupta"

"Leave her out of this" Arnav spat at the mention of Khushi's name.

"We will, as long as you keep to the terms." The man said walking out. Leaving Arnav to sit and rethink his situation.

"Ok! Arjun I give up. What is that you want to tell me?" Khushi said handing him the coffee mug while once again settling to bury her head in her book.

"Khushi is it really that difficult" Arjun jumped on the sofa next to Khushi.

Khushi raised her eyebrows while chuckling. However Arjun suddenly got up and took Khushi's hand into his. He placed his other hand in his bag and pulled out a book.

He placed it into Khushi's laps.

"Oh! My god you still have this." It was a book that Khushi had given to Arjun a few years back.

"Open it" he said pointing to the book.

Khushi opened the book and the expressions on her face changed.

"Arjun" she said in a confused tone. "I can't"

"Why not Khushi" he replied. He grabbed the ring from the book and bent down on his knee.

"I love you Khushi, I always have."

Khushi pulled back her hand and turned to face away from Arjun only to realize who standing at the door was.

"Arnav"

"I am sorry" said Arnav turning around. He hurried up the stairs and into his room. Banging the door shut.

He tightened his fist, but suddenly released it as a thought ran through his mind.

"What if Arjun was the better man for Khushi, What if Arnav was putting her life at risk by getting close to her. He had nothing but pain to offer to both of them''''''"
