Divya moves into her dream house

The actress gifts herself an apartment on her birthday

Tiding over a broken engagement, Divya Dutta is moving on. She is going to gift herself the perfect birthday present in the form of an apartment at Juhu. Although Divya had bought the house some months back she was busy doing the interiors. She says, "I was doing it up gradually. Being busy at work, the interiors did take longer than expected. However, once I decided to shift on my birthday, I started rushing things. I used to plead with producers to let me off by a couple of hours before pack up to go hunting for furniture, curtains and other accessories. Finally, the house is ready with the help from my designer Monica Chandana."

Describing the house, she says, "I wanted the house to be spacious and airy with good ventilation. So, the house boasts of a huge windows and airy rooms. I wanted every room to have a character of its own, so while the living room is formal my bedroom is very ethnic and colourful. I did the puja yesterday but will be throwing a house warming party tonight."

Meanwhile, Divya is excited about her film Waaris Shah-Ishq Da Warris. "You know I have always been known as a bubbly and cute actress, but with this film I am going to be known as the seductress. I play this obsessed lover in the film and it is a complicated role."
