Best Film-
2012 can be safely called the year of the Tiger for Bollywood. Not only did Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger break the opening-day box office collection record, the film went on to do business in the close range of Rs. 200 crore nett in domestic market, making it the highest grosser of 2012.
And despite the year seeing a slew of blockbusters in the form of Shahrukh Khan's Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardaar, Akshay Kumar's Rowdy Rathore, Hrithik Roshan's Ageenpath, Aamir Khan's Talaash, Ranbir Kapoor's Barfi! and Salman Khan's Dabangg 2, none ventured close to Yash Raj Films' Ek Tha Tiger at box office.
The story in the new ApunKaChoice poll isn't different either. The poll for the Best Film turned out to be a neck-to-neck fight between Shahrukh Khan's JTHJ and Salman Khan's ETT. In the end, Ek Tha Tiger prevailed with 37 percent nods in its favour out of the 1404 votes.
With the poll results, it's clear that Salman continues to be the darling of the masses, and such maddening success would make anyone haughty, but Salman continues to remain humble. He recently said: "I know this (success) is all superficial... I know this is my profession and my work and I get paid for it. But apart from that, it does not go into my head. It's like a nine-to-five job."
