i also agree to some extent that death penalty alone is not all what they should suffer from- may be the ultimate punishment should be death but before that they should experience the torture and humiliation for their crime.
Btw can any one explain me what "chemical castration" is? I have heard about this many times but i guess i need a clearer idea.
Chemical castration is an oral or injectible medication that is given to men so that their libido is reduced and they don't feel sexually aroused.
If the govt actually thinks its going to work, they are just as stupid as people think them to be.
Chemical castration is not just medically reversible but it also doesn't stop the person from leading an absolutely normal life otherwise.
So how that is going to stop such criminals or bring them to justice is beyond me!
Most countries who allow the use of chemical castration don't even do it forcibly...its actually optional and the culprit has to allow it to be administred! Only very few countries like Poland adminster chemical castration to sex offenders by force.
I don't think any amount of punishment can make the 6 culprits undergo what Jyoti had to suffer...there is really no comparision.
I think the only solace one can get is that some day they will have to face God's wrath and no lawyer or court in the whole universe can save them that day.
But yes, I do think that the gift of life is something that is most valuable to every human being...and it will be poetic justice to see that very life taken away from them, as they did from Jyoti.
