She's probably an American citizen. She has lived in the NY for most of her life so it makes sense that she is no longer Indian.

She is a naturalized Citizen in the US..so needs India Visa to visit India...

But now she thinks..AAK is the reason Visa office sent her notice to pack off in one month:)

Do you think she will have to get married to extend her stay in India? Are we actually going to get an AsYa wedding...or is this where the Ayaan story plays out. QH is getting more and more interesting by the day!

if u live in newyork for more then 5-7 years then u r concidered as ammerican ...(if u continuouskly be there for long period)

coz in ndia u cannot have two passports...so she is considered american

Umm if she is born in India then she is citizen of India
By birth! Therefore she can come to India anytime
Of she has an Indian Id card. So therefore she can have her American passport and still come to
India without a visa.

Actually that isn't right. India doesn't have dual citizenship. So, right now she is a naturalized American not Indian. However she can apply for an Overseas Citizens of India card (OCI) or a Persons of Indian Origin card (PIO).

If Zoya had acquired American citizenship while in New York, then she would no longer be an Indian citizen because India does not allow dual citizenship...
