Rajeev Khandelwal ecstatic about TABLE NO. 21 response

TABLE NO.21 has turned out to be a surprise offering at the very beginning of the New Year. First release of the week, it has managed to see some good critical response coming its way. As he continues to accumulate all the accolades that have been pouring in right through the weekend, Rajeev Khandelwal remembers the time when it was Paresh Rawal who stood by the film as a pillar of support.

''For someone like him who has done more than 200 films, it is a different kind of high to see certain level of excitement that he brings on the sets. He has done many films with great scripts but for TABLE NO. 21 he wanted us to make it really big. It gave me a lot of happiness that if he is so kicked about a film then my thinking about it is not wrong. Even during the stage of dubbing he used to tell me that 'Rajeev, we have a great film in hand, saare sur sahi lage hain'. In today's age and time, it is rarity to have a genuine thriller which is not mindless. TABLE NO. 21 fills that slot,'' Rajeev says in a confident tone.
These were exactly the kind of reactions that came in from celebrities like Prabhudheva, Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Rampal, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sonam Kapoorand Kangana Ranaut once they saw the film.
''Yes, response from within the industry has been amazing. Everyone seems to be very excited about what we have made. Personally, I am very happy because for audience there are so many surprises in store. We didn't want to undermine their intelligence,'' smiles Rajeev.
