Hi friends!!!

People say that "Leaders are not born but they are made".But I feel leadership qualities are also hereditary. Is this common wealth national's attitude!!!!

See Jawaharlal Nehru's Daughter Indira was a good leader.

Senior Bush's son George W Bush is also a leader!!!

Sirimavo Ratwatte Dias Bandaranaike's daughter Chandrika is also a good leader!!!

Sukarno's daughter Meghavathi is also good leader!!!

So why should'nt we say most of the leaders are leaders by birth!!!!

Intersting Topic Mythili. 😊

But I disagree with your reasoning and conclusion. Yes, being from a Political family helps (like it does in any other profession) but you have to have certain qualities to become a leader which can be inherent or be developed later, you have to toil hard ( Rahul Gandhi se poochho 😉 ), learn the trade and tricks of Politics.

While some of personality traits do have biological bases that passes down in hereditary, I think most of leaders' children are nurtured, from birth, in similar enviornment that is highly going to influence them and shape up their adult life. I've heard Sanjay Gandhi was a born politician, while Rajeev was not and rather forced into it.

great examples given but do they really show that leadership is hereditary?!

isn't it the environment they grow up in that's giving them such qualities?! It's because they grew up with a parent who was a leader that could encourage them to show leadership qualities...it doesn't necessarily mean those qualities are inherent!! 😛

I feel leadership is a skill that can be developed if proper guidence is given from childhood.....look into yoyur history books.....there are tons of freedom fighters/leaders who came from the life of "unknown people".

For every leader who has inherited politics from his/ her family, there is one who has been self made.

For every leader who has been in politics and passed on their inheritance of politics to their next generation, there is one who have not been sucessful in passing down that legacy.

If all good leaders were born with the inheritance or legacy of their forefathers, we wont have bad leaders.

Now where will we classify the current Mr. Bush? What about Rahul/ Priyanka / Varun Gandhi? They come from the same common gene pool after all. Why was Tushar Gandhi not sucessful?

I am not so sure if we can say that Leadership qualities are inherited. We are or may be born with it. But we also need to make it.

As far as

Mr Bush is considered "Bush is a big leader,he's notorious that's different issue"

Priyanka is not into full fledged politics till date, she will definitely play a significant role in the Indian politics.

Rahul is a humble guy but he's over rated and this makes people more irritated.

Tushar!!! he's is small kid in politics ,he too will play some role in the coming years.

Some more examples to support my views.

See Sachin Pilot son of Rajesh Pilot ,Jyothiraditya Scindia son of Madhava Rao Scindia!!! They are really good Members of Parliament!!!!

Cheers,
