MUMBAI: Bollywood is complete again. All the missing-in-action superstars, who had taken off for exotic foreign locales to ring in the New Year, are back on home turf once again including Shah Rukh Khan himself.
Shah Rukh Khan had taken his entire family out to their beach-side cottage in Dubai, to ring in the new year on the sands of Palm Jumeirah. Reportedly, he had even invited close friends Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal and Manish Malhotra to join him. Alas, the three distinguished guests turned down the magnanimous star's offer at the last minute.
Though Karan Johar was in Dubai around the same time with Manish, he chose to give SRK's NYE bash a miss. All the while strengthening the rumours that all is not well after all in the SRK-KJo camp. A source revealed the reason for Karan's conundrum, "Karan did receive an invite from SRK, and for the longest time he was actually in two minds whether he should miss it or be there. For years, they have ushered in the New Year together in Dubai. You can say the tradition was broken for the first time.
However, the private dinner party proceeded as planned, without Shah Rukh's once-upon-a-time friend Karan. The guest list included Boney Kapoor, Sridevi and their kids, Chunkey Pandey with wife Bhavna, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor and their kids.
And we finally spotted the superstar returning to his kingdom late last night. Dressed in a white tee, and a black jacket, Shah Rukh looked relaxed and happy to be home. He was accompanied by his uber stylista wife Gauri (in mustard yellow pants, mind you) and son Aryan and daughter Suhana, and their friends
