Cousin wedding is allowed in the islamic society. Albeit the scientific complications, as they are stated to occur, they do not happen on a large scale. Since I am a Muslim, and I have seen alot of love and arranged marriages in my family, as in cousin weddings, on a large scale, counting onto generations before me, there has been not a problem like that at all. However if its about first cousins at times, at occasions it can occur, but its rare.
Secondly Islam does allow more than one wedding at a time. Limited to four. This is not so a man can keep four wives, this is so a woman can be protected. In older times, women were highly degraded in every single society, and even at times of conversions of religions women were targeted and abused. This came forth an allowance to provide those women support, comfort, stand, love and devotion. The women who are needy, in help, who need a man's compliance, and love, at times widows, or disowned by their own society. This is the significance of providing a woman everything she deserves by taking her in marriage. Thus four weddings. And you cannot marry without the complete and true acceptance of your first wife.
In here, as now, this practice is no more common. Womens' status has also improved hell lot better, and religious violence and conversions are also less. Thus there comes no need to second marriage. And we don't see alot of educated people marrying again.
I think firstly, she is Hasina Bi, the woman with no mind and no character, merely a thorn in their way. So she has to make a mountain out of molehill about everything. Secondly with two wives there comes the question mark of WHY? Why two weddings? At times male chauvinists and shallow charactered people have two weddings for personal selfish reasons, which do not put up a good light at their character. And in today's time two marriages scarcely happen. We do not wed more than one person, and its always startling to know why a person would want a second marriage. But alas the point is she is Hasina bi. She just cannot resist being evil. Its another thing we called society thoughts and image. Your Image being linked to a family who has a man who has two weddings something uncommon and startling nowadays and the point "OH MY GOD SHE GOT HER BLEH BLEH MARRIED TO A GIRL WHOS FATHER HAS TWO WEDDINGS" well society needs things to gossip and hinder images bleh bleh. That is what its about.
