Thank you... I can't stand sri's old movies...her diction is horrible...haven't seen EV till now despite the fab reviews all over...

I so agree with you, she's been in the industry for so long yet that "hindi"of her's is so pathetic to the power of infinity, the movie was good but i couldn't stand her hindi🤢

And there was an article that she was teasing her daughter that she din't know hindi, seriously now look whose talking:|

I couldn't stand Sridevi's movies too.. Too loud for me then in the 90's ...After putting off watching EV, thought I will watch it for the sake of reviews.

However, watched it ..nothing has changed in the last 20 yrs. The critics went ga ga over Sridevi..probably all her fans. She was a total failure. Guess no one wanted call a spade a spade.

Sri's diction remains the same. Her spoken Hindi was barely comprehensible..lacked confidence.

Guess, she never thought of PREPARING for the character. She surely has taken Stardom for granted.

my family has some hard core sridevi fans...who gush over her chandni/lamhe performances...even they thought EV was bad!!

I'm so glad I didn't download the torrent...trust me I was quite tempted to:D

Oh Gosh the way every single person was going ga-ga over the movie and especially Sri, I thought there was something seriously wrong with me for finding the movie and her acting just abt average.

Ditto, I couldn't agree with you on that more. Well, she lacks the ability of delivering a dialogue successfully on screen and at times she gets screechy, she is over rated to the core, i prefer Meenaxshi sheshadri over sridevi anyday.. I still don't understand why critics praised her so much, her accent is unbearable she murders hindi for me. She should take a cue from Vidya or Rekha, they have successfully crossed the language barrier⭐️ She is pining on her past goodwill, EV might have worked coz of the strong script, but she has to practice Hindi before further venturing in to an other Bollywood project.

My family disliked English Vinglish, I thought it was a good movie but nothing to go ga-ga over Sridevi--the real winner was simple story-telling. I much prefer Sridevi in movies like Lamhe. Her diction and botox face was really putting me off from the character but it is still better than one-and-half expression actresses of this generation🤢
