Viren and Jeevika lay snuggling in bed wrapped securely in a sheet. Viren stirred up from his sleep at the flash of Virat's name on his cell phone. He yawned and stretched his arm, careful not to awaken Jeevika. Placing a soft kiss on her hair he turned to see Virat's message.

"Bhai, better get up! It is already 7:30 and tell Jeevika Bhabhi to leave your room carefully, Bua has been around. Btw I need to give you a file coming to our room in five minutes."

Viren sighed thankfully. This time they won't be late. Viren looked at Jeevika. Sleeping peacefully besides him. Looking adorable. He didn't want to wake her up. He wanted to stare at her till eternity! Keep her besides her forever. Kiss her. Be with her.

Dhak Dhak!

"Must be Virat!"

Viren got out of bed looking around for his shirt. The door kept banging. Jeevika stirred up slightly at the noise. Finally deciding not to disturb Jeevika, he hurried to open the door.

"Vira.."

"Viren what took you so long."

It was Swamini. Before Viren had even pened the door fully Swamini flung open the door and walked in.

Viren stood glued to spot. Heart pounding. Hair standing erect. Eyes wide open. Cold and numb. Where did she come from? What was he supposed to do? She saw Jeevika in his bed, how was he to explain this to her?

Swamini was dumbfounded at the sight in front of her. She immediately turned round, embarrased, to face a much more stressed Viren, covering her face with his right palm.

Her last words before leaving the room were,"Viren I want both of you in my room in ten minutes."

Viren closed the door behind her and stood against it. His eyes closed and head resting against the door.

Viren opened his eyes when he felt Jeevika's lips land on his cheeks. She stood next to him smiling, the bed sheet fastened securely round her.

"Good morning, baby"

"Good morning, Jeevika"

"Everything alright?"

"No. Badi Maa saw you!"

"What?"

"Yes I thought it was Virat at the door and when I opened it happened to be Badi Maa. She just came in and saw everything."

Unable to believe herself, she sat on the floor. Tears flowing down her eyes. Embarrsed. Worried, she buried her head in her knees, her hands round her knees.

Viren threw his arms round her cold trembling body. Comforting her. Consoling her. Assuring her. But this time somewhere he too needed the same. After much persuations, hugs and kisses Jeevika finally agreed to go to Swamini.

In a couple of minutes the two stood outside Swamini's room.

"Come in," Swamini said as she saw blurred visions of the two standing outside her tinted glass door.

They entered inside and saw Swamini turned around, facing the opposite wall.

"Badi Maa."

"Yes Viren."

"I wanted to ...ah..about...Jeev...we."

"Stop stammering Viren. And tell me clearly when did you two get married?'

The two exchanged surprised looks. How does she know that they were married?

"No Badi Maa. We just like each other and want to get married."

"Viren I think you really need to get your facts straight. Or are you so innocent that you do not even know yourself that you are married?" said Swamini , as she turned round and faced the two.

"I'm sorry Badi Maa."

"Yes Badi Maa we are sorry."

"Sorry? Wonderful you two. You two got married a year ago right?"

"Yes but how do you know?"

"Viren what do you think you will get married and no one in the family would find out. Of course I knew."

"Badi Maa I can explain."

"What Viren? What will you explain? How can you do this. Why would you tell me you don't trust me right!"

"No Badi Maa. It is not like that. I didn't tell you but it was not that I didn't want to..."

Jeevika stood silently, tears rolling down her eyes. She didn't want Swamini to be upset with Viren because of her. Blaming herself for all the problems. She shouldn't have forced Viren that night. It was her fault. Here Viren was going through all this because of her. Swamini was upset because of her. Viren was worried because of her. Swamini and Viren's relation was spoilt because of her. All this because of HER!

"Viren I am sure you two want to know how I found out. Right? Well, the day you two got married a leading tabloid published a news published a a small news about Jeevika Chaudry getting hitched to a Chandigarh based lawyer. Who could that be Viren? And to confirm my doubts you were in Mumbai at that time."

"Badi Maa we are sorry."

"Viren whenever you were in Mumbai you two were often clicked at high end restaurants in the sub-urbs. Although you tried very well to hide yourself in those photos but you thought I won't be ableto recognise you? I was waiting for you to tell me, but you have disappointed me Viren."

"Badi Maa it is not his fault. All this is because of me. I was the one who forced him to marry me. I'm sorry."

"Jeevika I always considered you like my own daughter but you two broke my trust. I never knew behind this hate there was so much love between you two. You two thought I wouldn't know what you two were up to? I knew everything."

"Badi Maa yes we love each other a lot and that is why we two got married."

"And kept hidding it, right Viren? The day you refused to have kheer made by Jeevika, Jeevika turning up late for the Mehndi function, you two late for the breakfast, You two thought I didn't know the reason?"

Viren looked down as he remembered each incident narrated by Swamini. Yes she was right. Everytime single time they had been together. Yes he had refused the kheer because Jeevika had already fed him a bowl full in the morning before breakfast. Yes she was late for the mehndi function because he had kept her busy through out the afternoon. In between those kisses and hugs they had forgotten to keep track of time. Yes they didn't turn up for breakfast because they were busy sleeping peacefully in each other's arms.

"Badi Maa let me explain."

"No Viren. I am not happy with both of you. Just leave from here."

Jeevika walked out of the room, still crying. Viren stood there.

"Viren leave."

"Badi Maa I will do any thing."

"Leave Jeevika?"

Viren stood there mute.

"I can't. She is pregnant."
